I noticed one thing Dumah eyes are open before the stakes are pulled out. Also you missed a cutscene with Dumah before you pull the stakes out, go to the spectral realm where his corpse is sitting in his throne and you have a friendly chat.

This game out of the rest in the saga was criticized because it was difficult to navigate without a map. But it was hardly unappreciated considering that it was the second game out of 5. Hence the sequel to this game had the mechanics improved and even the last was even better. The one game out of the five that was unappreciated due to have seemed be made in a rush was BLOOD OMEN 2. Personally I like all of them, sure, improvements should be made to the Kain centered ones so that they feel cohesive, but the story is complete...well, complete-ish. I do hope the story is given and actual proper ending for both Kain and Raziel finally destroying the Elder fake god, and perhaps even redeeming the Hylden.

Great seeing this remaster of a masterpiece. Some small points: -It seems the opening intro had cut back on some sound effects with both the BGM and things like Kain forcibly ripping off Raziel's wings. Maybe the BGM overshadowed this? Guess I won't know until I play the game again. -Really love that they made the mouths move. I didn't expect that. Nice touch. -You left out the last Ariel scene at the Pillars! I forgot the first line she said to Raziel, but she ended it with "Be weary, Raziel, those blind with rage are by destiny ensnared." I love that crypic message from her. Overall, love the video. Going to check out Soul Reaver 2 next. 😊

I can see that it's outstanding and very impressive. If there's one thing that Aspyr did right, is that their mouths actually move when they speak. I wish that MGS1 (despite the too dumb metacritics saying that it doesn't need a remaster) can follow up with this style, but keep the asthetics.

So I was playing yesterday when I clicked r3 accidentally. There is nothing in the game to indicate that you can switch from classic to remastered on the fly. I thought I was going insane when, all of a sudden, the graphics switched. Freaked myself out, there was only 1 thing on google that said anything about being able to switch. Thought for a moment, they pulled a fast one on me trolololo.

What is wrong with the intro? Something is... off, i just compare it with the original intro and the music now is barely audible and there's a constant cracking in the music channel making it come in and out every time there's a sound spetially on the left side, also the dialogue timing is messed up, it was speed up in places and some of the dramatical pauses are, reduced for some reason? Am i the only one that noticed this?

One thing I was afraid of came to be true.....PSX version had this.....gloominess and grit to its graphics. They amplified the colours too much imo. Otherwise I'm as happy as hell lol this game used to scare the living shit out of me as a kid and I couldnt understand a word of english either. I can enjoy it properly these days,thanks so much for this!

This was a time when we enjoyed the ganes becuase they were fun. Now the games suck because they focus on graphics and HD image and useless crap.

You are looking at it through nostalgia goggles. The combat had interesting ideas, but fights in the spectral plane were pretty much never engaging. Some bosses also were more of a chore. The fight against Kain basically is guessing where he will appear next, respawn if you get it wrong and winning if you guess right three times. Then, there is the platforming - the camera is Raziels biggest enemy because if you could actually see what's below you, it would be trivial. The puzzles were great, but some of the block puzzles are not so much difficult as just tedious due to how slow everything moves. You probably have an excuse for all those issues, but I would recommend you to extend that generosity to modern games as well.
