One of my theories on Xiuying's story is ever since her older brother Ziming left her years ago & went to join the chi you men in his quest for vengeance, what if sometime later he changed his name & identity & became LAN DI?!!! After all even Yuanda Zhu himself said Lan Di sought vengeance too (just like Xiuying's brother) & also said even he himself didn't know what really happened & Xiuying said her brother was lost to an evil path. Well we should find out for SURE if I'm right or not in SHENMUE 3!!!

Lan Di and Ziming are two different people, we can safely say that's the case. We know Lan Di's real name from the information that Yuanda Zhu gives to Ryo and we know Xiuying's and Zimings full names too. The ages wouldn't add up either as Lan Di is in his early 30's and Xiuying is 25 I believe, from what we can gather Xiuing and her brother are around the same age.

Yep these two games the director put a lot of MONEY in it I see it is "ahead of its time". No need for remake people really should give a chance might feel long and Out of Balance with the fighting that what started games like Yakuza and True Crime Sleeping Dogs GTA series open world games like them to bring games to a whole a new level

Yeah, no kidding, the scene where Ryu hacked a guy's arm off with a meat-cleaver and then the camera held onto it for several seconds while the guy screamed and blood geysered out of his arm-stump definitely caught me off-guard. That was definitely dark. :p

If you want to hop into one of these games, I'd say start with Shenmue 2 after watching like 30 minutes of Shenmue 1. Yeah you can start with Shenmue 1 but I wouldn't want to risk you falling asleep while playing. Shenmue 2 is more action-filled and has amazing music.
