Agreed, the Norse saga likes to paint his past self in a really negative way, almost to the point like they hate the Greek saga. Ascension specially had a more human and compassionate version of Kratos, the change in voice acting with a more kind voice was unique, gave Kratos more layers as a character.

@@timothyrosa8290 Neither one thing nor the other, there are things that are dramatized too much, such as the first Norse game places a lot of emphasis on the death of his father (Zeus) as the most tragic thing when Zeus had well deserved it. Or when Kratos mentions the Sisters of Destiny, which was true that they abused their powers and with Valhalla the thing expands further with comments of the stature of not being sorry for killing Hercules or giving another context to things, he is in a middle point that sometimes pulls up and down. But it's undeniable that Kratos killed people who didn't deserve to die for him because they literally didn't do ANYTHING to Kratos.

Why did Zeus ask to build the temple of Pandora if he already had the flame of Olympus, which is safer than the temple, at his disposal to keep it there? Why didn't Zeus kill the people he tortured like Prometheus or Deimos, who had some importance in Kratos' travels if they confirm that they can kill people and then torture them in Hades? He would have saved himself several problems, especially with Deimos. If Zeus knew that Pandora's box would release the evils in his reign, why did he allow it to be opened? What did it cost him to take care of Ares himself? Or for all the gods to unite against him. Why when Kratos travels to the past when he lost against Zeus, the sisters of destiny at that time didn't do something about it? Kratos says that they are dead, but the soldiers who are behind him also died but are now alive, shouldn't the same thing happen with the sisters? What need did Charon have to confront Kratos if he wanted to prevent all of Greece from perishing, including Charon himself? Why didn't Zeus go save Poseidon from Kratos if he was literally doing nothing and was right above them? What need did Gaia have to betray Kratos if it's a bad idea one way or another. What happened to Morpheus and Artemis if we know that they are characters who were alive before Gow 3? Why don't they appear? What's the point of Zeus' speech at the beginning of Gow 3 saying that they will remain united against the threat of the Titans and Kratos if that doesn't happen in the end? Why didn't Kratos use his wings when he fell after being betrayed by Gaia? Why doesn't Zeus kill Pandora at the end of the game or when she was talking to Kratos? If the labyrinth they created to lock her up had traps that put the girl at risk of dying? And now that we've said that, why did they create those traps if the labyrinth was supposed to be created to trap her, not kill her? Why can a Cyclops destroy the Onyx but Kratos can't until he has the Nemean Cestus? And why can't the Sword of Olympus, which is the strongest weapon, destroy it either? And why in Gow 3 at no point do they explain the consequences of Athena's death but they do explain the consequences of all the other gods' death?
