This. Right here. Is one of my favorite boss fights. It's not even about fighting a symbiote possessed scream/MJ but it's about the dialogue throughout the fight. And that kiss at the end of everything was truly a chief's kiss. This game gave more depth and justice to both Peter and MJ then the recent run of comics and I love everything about it! The dialogue was so deep and well written in this fight! It made the fighting struggle feel more intense and alive. The voice actors once again did a phenomenal job!

Its cool seeing Insomniac creating their own versions of characters arcs & stories within their universe which makes it refreshing to a degree. But i really feel they crammed too much towards the final act when Venoms takes over points of the city. Aside from Agent Venoms appearance towards the middle part of the game, having Scream, the Knull symbiote army, and Anti Venom all crammed into the final acts seemed a bit like overkill. They could have paced Peters time with the suit more better throughout the story in my opinion and could have saved the known named symbiotes for a 3rd installment with better room to flush them out. But overall it was fun seeing them nonetheless.

In a way the other offspring of Venom are in this game too. The symbiote goons you fight somewhat resembles Riot, Agony, Lasher and Phage. And there is of course the build up for Carnage at the end of one of the side stories. I still can’t believe they included Scream, Agent Venom and Anti Venom in this game in a way that makes a lot of sense. I have high hopes for the third and possibly final game

I’m so sorry… I love that they included Scream in a mainstream Spider-Man story… but I felt myself cringing every time she said anything during the fight. I know everyone here is about to bury me for saying it… but her dialogue was so bad in this fight imo… I get that she’s supposed to be saying selfish or mean things while under the influence of the Symbiote… but they REALLY laid it on thick… almost like they were actually trying to make a point that Peter dedicating his life toward saving other lives is somehow a selfish thing because he can’t keep a regular job and give her 100% validation every time she ever needs it. My guy does his best while being pulled in a million different directions, and her inner feelings are “woe is me”.
