So after seeing all these KZbin wood workers using your product I pulled the trigger when I it came up as a Amazon suggestion. Have to say I am glad I spent the money. This has become the new standard for me.

I adore my Glubots -- own 3 of them -- and won't do without them in my small cabinet shop. Best $8 I've ever spent.😄 They are still a work in progress, however. FastCap has tried several different gasket materials for the main and tip O rings, all of which struggle with glue buildup or tearing. I'd suggest a teflon material like spray guns use. Or no O ring at all, which is where I usually end up after tossing the supplied gasket. (I just clean any residue off the mating surfaces & swipe a little fresh glue around the rim b4 replacing the cap: instant seal!) The plastic body doesn't seem to crack where you squeeze it like early models did after a couple years, so that's an improvement. Various cap leashes have been tried, and most are a nuisance. Soft cap works better than hard cap. If you find your Glubot too hard to squeeze, it is likely the lid seal is leaking air and/or you need more glue in the tank. The less airspace, the easier it is to dispense glue. Also, periodically crack the cap to allow the spout level to equalize. I often put EPDM glue (Titebond Melamine glue) in the Babebot for spot-tacking applications, but you need to empty and rinse it when the job is over or it *will* harden inside & cleanout is a MESS. That's the trouble with a glue designed to stick to everything.😉 FastCap makes clever products that are obviously designed by and for people in the trades, and they seem unusually responsive to customer feedback & willing to tweak existing designs.

I currently have two glubots. They are fantastic and work very well. However just a word of caution. One of them came with a distorted washer for the small cap. I didn't pay much attention and filled it. Big mistake, after setting on the shelf for quite some time the glue began to harden. What a mess. Make sure the gaskets are in good shape.

Tried these a few years ago. Kept the cap on it (no retainer line back then); maybe a bad seal or something, but the Titebond glue that I always use dried out completely inside the GluBot, rendering the GluBot worthless. I tried to clean it out. No luck - ended up throwing it all away. Then I decided to give them another chance a few years later so bought both the GluBot and BabeBot, but haven’t used them since I bought them because of my bad original experience. My questions are, how long can you leave glue in the GluBot without it drying out? And how do you clean out the bottles if needed? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

We use them for Tight bond in our shop. We use Tight Bond 2. (There are 3). Tight Bond itself has a shelf life usually less than 6 months printed on the bottle. Regardless of the dispenser this will happen. As long as cap is on GluBot and yellow rings are screwed on, it should last as long in the GluBot as the original bottle. Ours is refilled regularly but been using same bottle for over a year with no issues. If you do have an issue, the best way to clean is to fill with water and let it soak if it is water based glue.

Instead of the hot water trick for narrowing the guide, can't you just turn the guide to angle it slightly to narrow the gap?

Mentioning upfront about snipping the spout would have helped. It's not mentioned on the card that comes with the bottle that they are blind and need to be snipped; I'd have been saved several minutes of confusion if I'd had that fundamental piece of information. Why they're manufactured that way baffles me.

Yes, verifying that snip was needed was exactly the reason I went hunting for a video about this product.

Hi Paul, I just received a couple of new babe bots and much to my frustrating surprise they don't have lanyards like the glue bots eeeeks! Any chance we can fix what's bugging me? Thanks for your open ear, Steve Kowalik

FastCap No, sorry Paul. I have not used the BabeBot. For me, bigger is better for this product. I like the size of the GluBots. It's the perfect size for what I use the GluBot for. But if I ever find myself needing/wanting one in a smaller size, I'll be sure to pick up a BabeBot. Keep up the great work with your team over at Fastcap. You guys are killing it! Eric

Looking for my Glubot ARRRRG I hate when people don't put back my tools. Actually I need to buy another one for wood glue. I make fire breathing torches and the glubot is essential for not making a mess. The first step in making torches is to dip the tip of the metal skewer in Elmer's glue before applying the wick. The Glubot makes it so I'm not constantly tipping over the Elmer's glue bottle. It's hard to explain. I should make a how to video on how to make lean torches.

FastCap will do. Paul, I bought a 2 bottles of 2p10 glue,1 Jell, and 1 thick maybe 6 or so months ago. Been carrying them in the truck. I opened the Jel bottle a few days ago and it had the consistency of thick 2p10. Is it possible the heat in my truck broke down the consistency? That didn't happen with the first bottle of Jel I purchased from you all. It's not a big deal but if heat is the culprit, I'll need to find a cooler place for it. Thanks in advance.
@FastCapLLC

James Cheek James, Heat is not good for the glue but generally speaking it would have the opposite effect. It would thicken it. However, the glue is guaranteed for life! All you need to do is send me your address (or contact sandi@fastcap.com) and we will replace any product that does not meet your satisfaction We're happy to do this for all customers!

FastCap Ok, today while using it, it began jelling, It must have caused separation leaving a thinner layer of liquid on top....not that much really but enough to wonder if I picked up the thick bottle instead of the Jel. I guess by either the heat and or just sitting for 6 months or so caused some minor separation.....A good shaking probably would have taken care of it. Thanks for the reply Paul

Good design but they’re super cheaply made like something you’d by at the dollar store. Gasket didnt fit aswell... it’s annoying that a company with a great idea and design would allow such poor quality materials and build, then charge $8 for it.....
