When I mix paint for gingerbread, I use basic brown, metallic worn penny, and a drop of metallic berry from folk art. Makes the perfect gingerbread color for me. I’ve also seen others use the color Nutmeg as a good color for gingerbread. I didn’t have Nutmeg so I mixed my own. ❤

Ok I know this is going to sound wild, but after a mixing frenzy to find the best gingerbread colour i found it! mix 75% folkart gold with 25% burnt umber.

I have way too many of those cutouts so thank you for some inspiration. On the gingerbread people, I use either cinnamon or hazelnut colors... both are great depending on the look you're going for. I love Christmas movies period...too many to name a favorite 😊. But for personal reasons surrounding the death of my son, I can tell you my favorite line from one & of course, that is "every time a bell rings, an angel gets their wings" 💖.
