I'm going to try to use this for art works and routing, mainly because using thick wood is just so darn heavy. Interesting indeed. Thank you.

Just what I was looking for some panelled oak doors. 6 years since you posted the video, but still really helpful.

@@lafamillecarrington Good luck man! Might have been a long time ago, but I'd still probably do the same today.

WOW this is the tip that may save the botched job I did trying to repair a cracked very wide shelf from an old cabinet. The first time I glued it I made a horrible mess with an uneven job. It may be simply impossible to fix at the point but I steam ironed the old glue out of the crack so I could try to reglue. It is a horrible mess, gaps in the wood, some old glue still on there, a little warped, splinters broken off etc. I will try this blue tape trick - if it doesn't work I will give up, but looks like it is the best possible chance of a repair I can trust will stay put and not be hideously ugly. thanks so much!

Thanks. I have lots of small chunks of hard wood (1x2) (1.5x2) etc which I want to turn into keepsake boxes. I will try to use this method to laminate the sides of the boxes with thin laminated boards using this method.

I had thought about doing this but wondered whether it would be a tight joint. Looks good though. I will give it a try.

This interesting but what if I want to join two pieces of 4mm thick plywood sheets 1meter by 1meter. I don't think glue would work?

For that I use Total Boat 2 part epoxy with powder filler. It is super strong and easy to work with.

Did you cut the thin strips of wood panels and if so how did you do it?
