Man.. oh man. I love you for this. Out of all of my rehab, nothing was working. Constant pain. This move, just doing body weight lying down, felt relief immediately.

Very helpful again thanks, Tim! I've been doing just the concentric with 3 bands around my ankles. I just tried this version with 1 band and that was quite challenging enough!

Thanks for this. I've done the band walks but never done them with the holds. Looks like a great variation I will have to try.

I’m scared to do this because I have balance issues. My PT had it around my ankle from the start with the traditional crab walk. It’s still good info even if I can’t do it now, thanks.

Wow certainly will try this, such a great turn in that movement! Ty so much! I'm working hard my butt, am able to do over 300 squats, hip.thrusts when working with bodyweight, but when it comes to lateral movements or Bulgarian split squat I'm sooo freaking bad at it. So this tip for crab walk is really something that'll keep me motivated and hope will help me to get where I want. Yeah I do want a great butt, who doesn't want to look nice, but it's more about activating that big muscle in order to help legs and back. In my mother tongue there is an expression, colloquial one, when you want to say that someone is really lazy, you say that one iz "ljenguza". It's directly using butt making that noun into an adjective with a stamp of laziness on it 😂. Why am I saying this? It's because that big muscle (muscles) "goes" easily to laziness. Once again ty Tim so much and best regards from Serbia.

Thank you for your videos! They’ve been so helpful. Is there benefit to a side step position with a deeper bend in the hips and knees (like a lateral squat walk) instead of the more straight legged, upright position shown here? Thanks!

Deeper you go the harder it is yes

Thank you so much for all your great content! This looks great! Is this move safe for someone dealing with an over-firing piriformis? Trying to strengthen the muscles that are supposed to be doing the work... Thanks again! --Leha

Is it necessary to roll out the glutes after working them? If so, how often in a week? Thanks.
@physiorehab3 жыл бұрын
Only if they are tight. Perhaps 2-3 x per week

Should this work for gluteus medius tendinopathy? Are there any other eccentric exercises that would work. In the past have been given crabs to do and single leg squats. Did not solve the problem, going on 2+ years now!

Yes. - also try the isometric one leg ball squat - one of my recent videos

Thank you - Any specific rec for what kind of loop bands to buy? I see a range of them from $10 - $25 on Amazon. Cheers!
@physiorehab4 жыл бұрын
They don’t need to be expensive. Perhaps get a pack of 3 different strengths may save some $ and then to can use for different exercises / body parts!

Inhave had pain across my glute med over to hip for 6 months and zero answers . From the left of the si joint over to hip just under illiac crest. Included in the ache and soreness is insane mind numbing jolting muscle spams which are always worse when i first wake up in the morning. Please help. Any ideas? Is this caused from si joint, low spine, or something within muscle. 6 months of pain and inflammation with these awful jolt spasms . Severe depression over this trying to find answers! Any ideas?
