Thank you for this video. I found out that I have a gluten intolerance, several months ago and I've already tried and like some of the gluten free foods that you shown in this video. I also have some recommendation: The Good Crisp company has some awesome pringle style chips, which are very good. I also recommend that you try the Amy's gluten free frozen chili mac & cheese bowls, their really amazing! Schar gluten free brand has some really good table crackers and honey graham crackers. Also, simple truth has some really good animal crackers and General Mills cinnamon Cheerios are very good, too. Perdue's gluten free chicken nuggets are good, as well.

Just been diagnosed with coeliac disease, i originally felt okay with the diagnosis just because i was ill for so long it felt like a weight had been lifted of my shoulders then i went to do my first gluten free shop and i got really over whelmed with it all and got upset in the supermarket. I know as time goes on it will get easier and just become the norm in the end, so im just staying positive but vids like this are really helpful so thankyou for posting ! :)

The positive is that we can never become obese and we'll always have to eat the healthiest foods for the rest of our lives. Fruit will be dessert, and I'm gratefull for ice cream, although we'd have to use caution with any nuts in the ice creme since they are packaged with flour as to avoid caking. e.g. butter pecan

Celiac disease since 2011. Now that I know the details, I'm sure I've had it since childhood. I was always the kid that fell down in the playground. When an adult, the falls increased to the point of staples in my scalp on at least 6 occasions. When I got the belly ache from H E L L, (2011) I went to the ER. I was advised to see a GI Doc. My appointment was for 2 weeks. During that time I are popcorn, wheat toast, whaet this and wheat that. Etc..etc. After the endoscopy, no more pizza, spaghetti and all my other favorites. Thankfully, the foods have improved.

If you have an Aldi near you, check out their gf products, especially their bagels. To make your own bread get Caputo Fioreglut Flour. It is an Italian product made with wheat starch which is gluten free, so it is fine for people with celiac disease, but not those with a wheat allergy. It makes amazing bread! This was a very informative video! My gluten sensitivity is new, I also have a bunch of other food sensitivities. One of the other things I am very sensitive to, is almonds. I'm worried that if I ask for gluten free bread at a restaurant, it's gonna be made with almond flour. It looks like some of the products you shared do not have any almonds, so that is encouraging. We are for cauliflower crust in this house, my husband does keto (my multiple food sensitivities do no allow for me to be keto) and he HATES thin crust pizza, but he will eat the Caulipower pizza crust with no complaints!
@TrulyJamie Жыл бұрын
I totally get that struggle! Luckily a lot of brands are committed to being free of all the top allergens. I think asking your waiter to double check for ingredients is no biggie. I feel like restaurants take gluten sensitives very serious if you bring it to their attention. I have a best friend who has a nut allergy so whenever I'm cooking for us I always have to double check my gf goodies don't have any almond flour. I need to try Caulipower!!

Dear Truly Jamie Here is my TRICK with Gluten free Barilla spaghetti and linguine; Boil a kettle of water. Put some filtered water on the stove with some pink himalayan salt. Wait till it boils, then add pasta, fork and lift with a spaghetti claw. When the water goes WHITE about 5 mins, empty and drain in the pot, till damp, and add more boiled water with more salt. (This is the trick) (This trick keeps the pasta stay long, and gets rid of that sticky starchy water.) Cook another 5 mins or till al dente, or just a little before, as it cooks out on a warm plate while serving. Do not rinse. Enjoy with a white sauce with goats cheese avocado chicken, it does stick to the spaghetti which is nice. Enjoy it as normal spaghetti. Hide the box, for kids meals if they are fussy! (This trick keeps the pasta stay long, and gets rid of that sticky starchy water.) In kindred spirit, Eliza Australia 16th of December 2022 7:45pm

In the last month I've figured out my body doesn't like gluten. My biggest struggle is baking. I used to bake all the time. It was therapeutic for me. Knowing I could make something from scratch that I knew I and other people would love gave me so much fulfillment. I tried making biscuits last night and it was like a gummy mascarading as a biscuit. 😩😩😩. But I almost hate watching a lot of baking shows or looking at recipes because I feel like I either can't have it or it won't be good. I know I'll figure it out, I'm just very disheartened. It used to be such an easy thing for me. Now I feel so lost. Ok. Traumatic moment over. Haha. 😞 Oh! But the Canyon bread is really good!! And I've found some good gluten free stuff! I just feel like part of my identity has been dissolved. Ok... Really dramatic. I'll stop now. Lol!
