Thanks so much for your recipe. These are the best non gf tasting sweet bread buns we've eaten. I did have an issue with the middle buns not cooking through - am making more tomorrow, as ordered, so we'll see what happens then. So pleased to have found your site.

GF dough is so hard to work with - and I have NO baking talent whatsoever! So these videos are extremely helpful, especially when I see more footage of the dough being mixed up and kneaded. Thank you so much for making videos to go along with your recipes, you are doing so many people a ginormous favor! :)

I’m going to make these for Easter Kim!! How do you make your own homemade vanilla?? Will let you know how these turn out. Also - life changing advice on the egg wash, thanks again!!

It's so easy! Just add a bunch of vanilla beans (10 or so) into a jar and fill it up to cover with vodka (I always buy Tito's because it's gluten free). You could also use rum, but I find the rum leaves a stronger taste. Put the cap on and put it in a dark area (pantry, for instance) for at least a few months, shaking it a couple times a month or so. You can split the beans open before adding them to the jar if you want, but it's not necessary. 😍

has anyone tried making these without the husk thing? I know it'll probably be harder to handle but would it still be nice and soft?

Yes, I've made these and many more of my breads without psyllium husks. It has only been in about the past year that I started adding psyllium husks to a lot of my bread recipes because it does help with the shaping. However, with my bread flour blend and my sweet dough, it is definitely possible to make this recipe without by reducing the milk to 300ml (1 1/4 cups). 😍

Recently found you and cannot wait to try your recipes!! I don't have a stand mixer. Do you know if your bread recipes would turn out as good using a hand mixer or simply mixing with a spoon?

You could try, but you'd definitely need a lot of elbow grease. If you happen to have a handheld mixer that has dough hook attachments, I would try that. Or get a Danish dough whisk like this one: amzn.to/3FemtBy

No, actually I use my own flour blend. You'll find a link for this in the recipe. I don't sell it, but you can make it yourself. 😍
