How come all the links don't exist anymore? My bf mom had surgery and requested scalloped potatoes but she needs it gluten free. I found this video but without the recipe, I only have 50% of the info I need to make it.

Finally! A recipe where almond flour isn't mandatory! Thank you! Sometimes it gets ignored that people with a gluten allergy often have other food allergies, as well, including nut allergies. This is the only gluten free lemon bar recipe i've found that doesn't use almond flour.

I'm making these again! The last time we had a family gathering, I made them and everyone loved them. There were those, who said "oh I'll just have half of one," but then in a few minutes: "hey, were did the other half go?!" They were all gone in very little time. Everyone said they were the best cinnamon buns they have ever had. Thank you!

yummy -- enjoy your cooking adventures so much. I always know if I need to substitute something, for my vegan family members, it's worth making the base and adjusting when needed. You're a asset to my kitchen. Sometimes I just listen to you making new things while cooking dinner because I know I'll learn something new.

What size oval banneten are you using? The link provided takes me to the Amazon page that offers 10, 6.5 and 13 inch sizes. I'm going to try your bread flour mix and sourdough recipe (already have Boddy's sourdough starter in the fridge :). I've tried 2 other recipes for GF sourdough with mixed results, so am looking forward to trying yours and getting a good GF sourdough bread!

I don't know what I did wrong, I measured all the ingredients right but my dough didn't reach the right consistency, it stayed runny (not so much but still not right and I didn't know what to do to fix it) even after the fridge time and because of that I couldn't knead it well and after I baked it turned out to be a heavy bread and not soft and fluffy as I wanted but the taste was fine Maybe this happend because I used different ingredient brands that I found here in Brazil but I'll try again, those ones, in the video, looks so good and so tasty
@LetThemEatGlutenFreeCake6 күн бұрын
Yes, most likely if you didn't have the correct ingredients for the flour blend that would have caused the stickiness, especially if you didn't use superfine white rice flour.

i made this recipe and the flavor was exceptional. no one knew that it was GF cake, and it tasted great. My only challenge is that it didn't rise. It was a little flat, but i'll try again soon.
@LetThemEatGlutenFreeCake6 күн бұрын
It usually takes much longer for gluten free dough to rise than gluten-filled. Remember, we're starting with cold dough as well, so it has to first come to room temp and then rise from there.

@@LetThemEatGlutenFreeCake i got it! my oven has a "proof bread" setting, and it worked perfectly at 2 hours. one more question - yours rolls up perfectly in this video. mine seems a little wetter than yours, and tends to have some sticky spots. any tips for keeping it from being sticky/wet when it's time to roll it up? It lead to some holes on me. Also, thank you for making this video and having a great website. I'm very impressed with your content!

Hello! Can I replace the psyllium husk with xanthan gum? The one I found is dark and gives a purple colour to my breads and it doesn't look good.

For this bread I wouldn't do that as it would be very difficult to braid without it. This is the one I use: amzn.to/4hbbwUN

Is this the same dough as your ultimate Cin Roll? That recipe doesn’t show to add starter. With that said I’m just about to roll the filling on this one. :) One more question - i used to most delicious cakes from scratch before I knew I was allergic to gluten. I even won a blue ribbon at our fair for them. So my question is, with your flour blend would I do a 1 to 1 ratio? In these recipes I alternate the flour then water, ending with flour. I assume I’d do the same method. But it seems even with the “cup for cup “ brand it was a little dense. Would I add psyllium husk powder? And if so how much would you recommend? Any advice is helpful. Looking forward to your reply.
@LetThemEatGlutenFreeCake6 күн бұрын
It is technically the same dough, but altered to use sourdough starter instead of instant yeast. Yes, you can use my all purpose flour blend in your cake recipes, but as a general rule what I do is increase the liquid amount in a non-gluten free recipe by 1/4 cup (60g) because gf flour is heavier than regular (wheat) flour and absorbs more liquid. I would not add psyllium husks. Those should only be used for bread recipes.
@Julierumseyart6 күн бұрын
Thanks Kim! I will definitely try that. And these rolls turned out delish! Thanks for bringing baking back to my kitchen❣️
