Oysters have copper in them but they have a huge amount of zinc. I read a study about a woman who was ingesting oysters for their benefits, and she went overboard and she got a copper deficiency. Watch out for zinc. Over 30 milligrams over time will definitely deplete copper

Can copper also aid in releasing Iron from the body for Haemochromatosis is my question? 🤔
@sgtaneja9 ай бұрын
For hemochromatosis, IP6, ALA, EDTA, phlebotomy as quick fixes to suppress symptoms, but long term will lead to mineral chelation & imbalances. The real fix is to promote long term Iron utilization via b5,b6,b9,b12,copper, vitC, vitA. Note b5,b6,b9,b12 must be in bioactive, coenzymated, methylated forms only. Inactive or synthetic forms will Not work. Cheers !

Dr. Osborne, i was told a couple of years ago, after a blood test, that my ferritin was high, even though I was eating a carnivore diet. I was told that even though i was getting plenty of iron from my diet, my body wasn't absorbing all of it. Would copper help that, and if so, is colloidal copper a better option as some on yt comments suggest?
@Deadbolthead Жыл бұрын
It’s probably high DUE (in part) to your carnivore diet. Just go donate blood and keep carnivoring! 👍🏼 Also, yes, copper can positively help this situation.
@julieellis6793 Жыл бұрын
@Deadbolthead yes, that's what I plan to do. Thanks
@vanlifebiker11 ай бұрын
@@Deadbolthead Doesn't high ferritin level mean you have a high iron count? The question doesn't make sense to me. Having blood drawn will lower iron levels in the body like a person does with Haemochromatosis
@Deadbolthead11 ай бұрын
@@vanlifebiker High ferritin doesn’t necessarily mean your iron level is high. If your iron saturation is high, you can have extremely high iron in your blood but low transferrin which means none of the iron is making it into your cells which is where the low iron blood count is coming from. I have hemochromatosis and this is exactly my situation. The amount of iron in my blood is off the charts, but in my cells it’s low because metals are synergistically balanced in the body by each other at a certain ratio. This is why copper at low doses can help. Zinc as well. Although it’s best to get blood tests and let a doctor help with the ratio imbalance.

@@Deadbolthead Thanks so much I'm getting lab work for a 3rd time in the last couple months & had blood draw a month ago to reduce iron. Haemochromatosis is all new to me & I'm trying to educate myself on these lab test results. Thanks again.

If fructose and alcohol- (which can come from auto brewery syndrome- Candida) are converted in to sorbital and this down regulates ceruloplasmin the copper transport protein, bioavialable copper may be at risk. If glyphosate is ( in the water and air and is sprayed all over crops these days) designed to be a heavy metal chelator and it binds up copper down to a ph of 1 no one has a low enough stomach ph to put it in to solution and absorb it. Retinol is required to load copper in to the ceruloplasmin enzyme. We are told that copper and retinol can easily become toxic by those that push medications....something smells fishy....BTW high quality cod liver oil is an excellent source of retinol (real vitamin A).

Everyone who has copper deficiency should look into Colloidal Copper. Copper supplements take forever to accumulate in our system. Colloidal Copper is processed immediately and what the body doesn't need, you urinate out. Unlike Ionic Copper, it has a negative charge and doesn't attach itself to internal organs and accumulate into toxic levels. It is the best way to process Copper.

Just bought some colloidal copper today instead of copper glycinate I was looking at getting. It has a much lower mcg count and is more expensive, but if it is immediately usable by the body then I suppose that's the tradeoff. I hope it works for me.
