This is such an underrated watch. Beautiful dial, and I like the case shape and crown guard.

I have a combat 6 Vintage. It’s the same case but with a Hamilton Khaki Field Style dial and different hands. It’s on a Nato Strap. That bracelet is very nice. It needs half like no’s because the clasp has no micro adjustments. The Combat Sub and the Airman are also very nice watches. Glycines are a good value.

I'm a big fan of the Rolex Explorer 1 for its simple design and fairly unassuming stature. I'm glad Glycine offers a beautiful Swiss watch for a great value! I might pick this up soon.

Good review, I have the 36mm version, my favourite watch. One thing to note is the GL224 movement can either be an ETA or a Sellita, yours looks like a Sellita SW200. Same specs except one extra jewel (26 vs 25 in the ETA).
@EverydayWatchGuy5 жыл бұрын
That's a good point about the GL224 movement. Now that I think about it, I think you are correct about this watch having the Sellita SW200. Thanks.
@michabojanowski4025 жыл бұрын
@@EverydayWatchGuy It's SW200-1 for sure - 26j, the shape of the rotor and two additional pins on the frame makes it clear. But this is a feature of this watch, not a flaw. I know what i'm talking about cause i have one (based on SW as well) and it is one of my favourite - it's marvelous :) Thank You for the review!! Good job! PS. What about accuracy of Yours? I have +/-3s/24h - am I the lucky one ? ;)

Thanks for the feedback! The SW200 in my Combat6 gets about +7sec/day, so I guess you are luckier than me, lol.

Mine arrived today. Best value entry level Swiss watch you can get ATM. Love the size - wears big but I wanted that. Would have been perfect if it had applied hour markers the same material as the hands but you can’t have everything at this price point. One of my cheapest if not cheapest watches but It’s going to see a lot of wrist time as it’s now one of my favorites. Classy and nice quality - can wear it to countries like Thailand etc without the worries you have with a Rolex and the like. Thanks for video. It solidified my decision to purchase one.

FYI My bracelet tapers down to 18mm and has the 2nd and 4th links mirror polished. (Outer and center links brushed) It looks nice.

Thanks for the overview. I'm currently wearing my combat sub, with the same dial as yours. They are very well made watches but I'm struggling with the small pips aesthetically, I regret not getting the numbered dial.
@EverydayWatchGuy6 жыл бұрын
I kind of like how the small pips make the watch more understated, but that's just me.

Great review. Thanks for putting it up as there aren't many on this watch. I'm seriously considering the 36mm version with the black dial. Do you know if the black version also has that sunburst effect like the blue one?
@EverydayWatchGuy5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I would go with the 36mm version for sure if you have under a 7inch wrist size (they wear bigger than you think). From what I understand, the black version also has a muted sunburst effect like the blue one :)

@@EverydayWatchGuy Cool. I'm in Canada too. What import charges did they apply when you got your watch?

@@EverydayWatchGuy Right now, I'm trying to decide on this vs the Seiko SARB033. The Seiko would cost $200 CAD more which I'm not sure is really worth it. Thoughts?
@EverydayWatchGuy5 жыл бұрын
@@markthibault8579 I own both watches and you can't really go wrong with either. Although, the watch that is on my wrist more is the Seiko Sarb033. I think it is more versatile and the fit and finish make it feel more expensive than it is. Perhaps you can find a used one on a local watch form (like I did) at a decent price?

It's weird that the bracelet doesn't taper, I was looking at the Glycine website and in the stat sheet this is what they say about the bracelet: Straps & Bracelet: Material: stainless steel integrated bracelet Colors: stainless steel Width: 22.00mm horns / 20.00mm buckle Buckle: folding clasp buckle
@EverydayWatchGuy5 жыл бұрын
Perhaps I need to remeasure the bracelet at the clasp, but it definitely did not feel like it tapered down on my watch when I reviewed it.
