In this video I have a doubt ,,Sir you said that the first step i.e Glucose to Glucose -6 phosphate is the first commitment step But in lehninger's Biochemistry I found it is written that the 3rd step i.e fructose -6 -phosphate to fructose-1,6-biphosphate to be the first commitment step as it states Glucose-6-phosphate and fructose-6 - phosphate can have other fates but fructose-1,6-biphosphate don't !!... I didn't get the correct meaning can u plz explain me the exact statement n reason

You guys are studying Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or maybe a different branch of Biology so, my question is were you asked at your college or university to memorize all these cycles, structure, enzymes etc in details? I wonder if this memorize this is done here in Bangladesh only or everywhere. I was asked to draw the whole TCA cycle and Glycolysis in exam.
