Erick O, I know that butt pucker feeling all to well, First time I took My 1973 Chevy Nova SS with an LT1 modified V8 with 775 HP to have it's brakes done by someone else besides me for the first time and they did not pump up the brakes and set them. I went to pick it up and had no brakes or peddle and had to use the E-brake , gave the shop and the guy that worked on it an Ear full and the smart ass mechanic a fist in the mouth. People lesson to Eric , Ivan and Keith they are the best on the internet, Unlike some so call professional mechanics, Eric , Ivan and Keith know what they are talking about. PS: love the Vid's Eric have been watching you for about 3 years now and love everything you do, Keep up the good work Brother, From a former NHRA and AHRA winter nationals racer and mechanic, My best time down the 1/4 mile track was a 8.200 at 179 MPH here in Tucson, Az. PSS : NO rust here just light corrosion lol :)

i have watched a lot of videos on youtube about break jobs and wheel hub jobs Eric. You are the first I’ve heard say something about properly torquing down the wheel because it could cause a warped rotor and brake pulsation. Given that i have had that problem with my brakes twice, now I finally understand why! I never torque down the wheel evenly! I would have replaced the brakes and rotors again and have not been any wiser!! I learn something new with every video Eric! You’re the best You tube mechanic in my opinion!! Keep up the great work!

I did the same R&R on a friends slightly older Lacrosse about 2 years ago. No drama on getting the bearing out, which is good because all I have was a cold chisel and a ball peen hammer. The plastic coating on the part of the bearing where it mated with the knuckle did its job !

When it comes to axle nuts the only torque spec required is the German spec gutentight or a couple zippy zaps with the impact and quarter turn or so with the breaker bar if you're lazy. 😂 Good air tools make this job a breeze. Great video as always Eric. Just make sure you don't burn out doing so many vids. Great vid man - it's going to help alot of people! Must be the week for losing tools. I lost my brand new scope-on-a-rope! No idea how the F I even managed that one. Only used it 4 times! Luckily I've got 2 more, so wasn't a biggie ... but it got my blood pressure WAY up there. GRRR!! Might be in my messy barn ... might be under someone's hood - no clue! I have to tell you, I bought that digital thermometer you were using a couple vids back ... and I think I got the Friday-before-Christmas model - temps were all over the place! Ambient was 85° according to my old dial gauges & mercury thermometer in the shop - one sensor read, 70°, one read correctly initially, then started an upward climb ending around 106°, and the long probe (same one you have) did the same, but didn't climb as high. Can't tell if it's the sensors or the unit itself, so I shipped the whole thing back! Buyer beware I guess - they used heavy doses of chinesium in that one! Not your fault at all - you got a Wednesday unit! I'll be sure to leave a nice review on it once I get my money back. ;) I got a good lesson in "gotta slow down to go fast" on my own car yesterday! Was 96° out here in MA, and the A/C that I JUST rebuilt last year wasn't working good at all ... until I got moving. Immediately noticed fan not running. Heard the relay buzzing, so checked the control, and power - all good! Jumped fan and it ran. So I run inside and order a new $50 relay ... and decide to check out the pressure switches on the condenser (mistake #1 - should've done that BEFORE calling the relay!). I rigged up another relay just to get the high speed running until the relay came in. Yanked one plug off a pressure sensor and jumped it - nothing! That relay buzzed too! Long story short I noticed my test light flickering on the 12v supply! I got SLID! Ya big dummy - missed an intermittent 12v supply! At least it was my own vehicle. Was able to cancel the order, luckily before they shipped it. It's got a bad fusible link - wiggled and now the fan works again (FACE-PALM!!). Sad part is, I KNOW that low power or a bad ground will make a relay buzz!

By "early birds" are you referring to the time the video was uploaded? Because Mr O has a slow upload speed and as such he starts an upload in the evening and it finishes at like 3-4 in the morning. I would assume Keith has the same situation.

Great video, nice tools. Glad to see you have hearing protection. Try your best to use the hearing protection for all of those Astro tools as they are all over 75 decibels. Very short exposure one or two times is not an issue but many short exposures over a period of time can cause permanent hearing damage. Even having Josh nearby using air tools can affect your hearing. If you only use the hearing protection half the time you are 2x better off. I went to an audiologist and had custom ear plugs made of rubber. Pretty neat, no one knows I have them on, and I can wear them comfortably for hours. I wear them under my traditional headphones at the range (500 round classroom days) and with chainsaws and solo when working with lower decibel motorized tools - lawn mowers, weed wackers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.
