Dennis you just made me remember my dad. he was the sports car manager for Louis Chevrolet in the late 60's. Vettes Chevelles and so on. he always said his favorite and scariest car was the 69 396 375 horse 4 speed Novas with chambered exhaust. said youd back them up to the showroom, and the exhaust note would rattle the glass. The original dog dish hubcap sleepers of the era. Thanks for bringing back great memories of Pops.

I spent all my time in Service stations/ CAR nights, etc. A pair of Schoolmates worked at Dealer : nice things came for cars if , one knew SERVICES, ETC. I

That center console is "a story". With the column shift automatic, Pontiac added a BLOCK OFF PLATE over where the available floor shift would go. Peek at how Pontiac used the same console body as floor shift applications and how the block off panel is attached.

Dennis brought up the Carolina Squat and I absolutely despise that trend! I'm SOOO thankful that they're finally cracking down on just how dramatic those turkeys (and that's putting it extremely nicely) here in South Carolina and now the front of the vehicle can't be any more than 4 inches higher than the rear. It had gotten to the point where it was highly dangerous for some of them to be out on our roads with their contraptions!
