One reason why I like non-network produced shows is simply this. If a show like this were produced by Discovery or history channel or any other network, a lot of scripted drama and arguing would have been written into the show. It's amazing how a group of people can set out on a project like this and get along just fine with no bickering. I prefer this format MUCH better!!

HAHA, Have had 66 Chevelle, 69 Chevelle, 69 Camaro, 75 Camaro (broke my 1973 rule), 70 Super Bee.. restored those, helped restore 2 57 Chevy, 67 impala, and numerous others... Love the old Muscle. Fuck the fart cars kids run around in today. No replacement for displacement. I have always been Mopar, but ended up with Chevy all the time haha. Except for the 70 Super Bee. Always wanted a 69 Super Bee... or a 68 Charger. One of these days... I do know one guy though for years that builds and tunes those subarus and shit... and I do give him credit. Cause he des get some massive power out of those fuckers. But typically it costs a lot more than the same power from a big block lol. But he says, I can get 450 HP and still get 25 miles per gallon... I am like, actually probably cheaper in the long run lol. Great episode! By the way, if you're interested, I recall a story I heard back in the late '70's about a man who I think owned the local GM dealership in Greenville, MS who had a warehouse filled with every Corvette ever made! He would order one each year, have it delivered to his warehouse, where they were kept, most with zero miles! It may or may not be worth your time to do the reasearch, but I'd thought I'd just tell you the story in case you were interested!

Dennis when I saw you were in Raleigh it made my day. 1958 I was born there lived there till I was 10 yrs. old. I remember a 67 or 68 hugger orange camaro my uncle Millard Hales had. He couldn't keep up the payments so my grandparents took over the car. That car was bought in Raleigh. You are a auto hero. Dragging out and saving those cars. If you find my uncle's car please do a video.

I watched Richard Rawlins for years and Dennis would pop in and out, but since I been watching this KZbin channel, Dude, Dennis you are a very Humble and Modest Guy, and you are cool about it too! I was like how cool to see you in nice clothes and Porche Jacket and out climbing and over rusty cars in the back woods. I really enjoy watching these, and to think there are not too many people on KZbin I would sit and watch an hour-long video, the diesel brothers the recovery guys but that's about it.

Hey Dennis, I have to tell you why I enjoy your videos. You save special cars; Porsches, Jeeps, muscle cars... no matter. If it's special and valuable you go for it. Not only are you preserving history, but you are recycling; restoring wrecks. Sure you do the easy rehabilitations, but many times you and your team do a full-on restorations making something great again out of "nothing" essentially. Now it's one thing to have a restoration shop specializing in Euro cars, or muscle cars, or exotics, or whatever the type or brand; but your shop will take on just about anything, or so it seems. Not only this, but you guys do the restorations right! No half ass, slapped together flips (not to say this type work is bad necessarily, it's just the "easy" route; there is a place for this automotive activity, quick flips, in the scheme of things). Maybe you do flip some project cars off camera; good for you if you do. Dennis, you are a professional. You love the hunt, you love the restorations and you see to it that your guys do to A+ work; you are an artist as well. Most importantly, you do business with private individuals and automotive professionals alike with a handshake and a smile. Everyone is happy in the end. This is the "old fashion" way of doing business. I love that; back to the future! Your son is going to be the same way... and your technicians too. Plus, you guys have fun at work! It's a thing of beauty. Jim

Hello Dennis. I'm 55 now graduated in 1985. A friend of mine brought a 1969 SS Chevelle that had been restored but another guy I know. 396-375hp. Muncie four speed 410 POS. It started to bubble around the rear wheel wells. He put it in a garage next to his dad's 57chevy 69gto judge and 1970 got . All need work. I'd like to see you save them.lol
