Almost everything presented in this video is well above my level of understanding but it's fascinating to see how deeply subtle and complex chess is at elite levels. Just contemplating how the ramifications of h2-h3 are still felt so many moves later shows the depth of understanding these 2700+ players have.

that's what he should've played versus Karjakin in the world cup, IMHO. As a fan of Sam, it is painful to study that KIA French game, when only a "terrorized" draw was needed..

At 26:16 there is a mistake in the analysis. The inbetweener with Bxf3 doesnt work due to Bg5 still treathening mate and black having to play Bd5 and then c4 coming with white winning the game

Superb lecture. I'd already been playing the Berlin recently with great results and was all over his Chessable course within minutes of seeing that one of my favourite Chessable authors had given his thoughts on it. This is not just about learning an opening (or ending), this is about learning chess as with all his other material. I can't tell you how much stronger listening to this guy has made me, just broke 2400 on one popular online site at age 42 and this sort of knowledge has made all the difference!

I'm loving the contents of the video, but it seems like his voice is the noise to his desk slamming rather than the other way around.
