Came on KZbin to get a confirming video of SuperCruise being able to navigate two lane roads. Although some other videos briefly mentioned it they never did show it in action.

I use Supercruise on my 2 lane commute everyday and love it!

This video is such a wealth of information on SuperCruise. I am considering a GM vehicle for the first time, just for SuperCruise. This video answered so many of my questions. Driving on 2 lane rural highways will be a big part of my usage, and I was very hesitant earlier because all available information said SuperCruise only works on divided highways. Seeing SuperCruise work on 2 lane highways seals the deal for me.

Thanks for watching and I appreciate the supportive comment! I really do love Super Cruise, Now if only GM would include it on lower optioned models. :)

At any time you can cancel auto lane change by simply tapping the turn signal. So if you have auto lane change on amd the truck engages a lane change you can tap the turn signal and cancel the lane change. There’s a 3 second delay from the time auto lane change engages til it starts to lane change so plenty of time to cancel if there’s a vehicle coming from behind too fast.

The road noise in there sounds awfully loud

That’s probably just be the camera is near the dash vents. To be specific…we measured 61 decibels in the cab at 70mph

It is a joke to compare SuperCruise with Tesla FSD. It only works on specific highways and it’s ab ability to actually be a self driving car is so limited. It may be comparable to Tesla’s base auto pilot system, but they are at least 5 to 7 years behind Tesla in actual autonomous driving. The two systems can’t even be compared.

Actually, I did not compare it to FSD but rather enhanced Autopilot. Having owned both FSD and Supercruise....I will take Supercruise over FSD any day. Yes...the road selections are slightly limited as they need to be pre-mapped but Supercruise is superior in the fact that it is a true "Hands Free" experience and IMO is much safer because it forces you to look forward and pay attention. What I don't miss is Teslas "phantom braking" and misreading speed limit signs on the 2 lanes (Reading 55mph as 35mph)....so I could only run autopilot/FSD at 45mph max until another speed limit sign popped up about 15-20 miles later. I am hoping that FSD has improved in the past year because when I had it...it made so many bad decisions, it was pretty compatible to a new driver on their first day. Absolutely the worst money I ever spent on a car. I did like my Model Y....Yet it was sold after a year of ownership and my love affair with the Yukon continues strong.
