@@ky11622 Oh sweetheart, I wish you everything you wish yourself. My best friend went through meeting her daughter for the first time. Sadly her daughter had married and was having her first baby. When he was born she wrote my friend an awful letter, saying when she held her son for the first time, she couldn't understand why my friend could give her up.😔 That sadly ended their relationship. In the 70s pregnant women were talked into giving their babies up for adoption. 😔 With much love from me in Scotland. 💗🕊⚘

mashadasha They APPEAR to have different dads but 2 of the younger siblings could share a dad. The other daughter clearly has a different father and its obvious none of then share the same father as the adopted daughter. I found it very interesting, and rude, that the other daughter said she wasnt surprised to find out she had a surprise sibling.... Had her mom never mentioned her before????
@mashadasha7 жыл бұрын
you can tell the mother and adopted daughter are jewish... and then the boy in the yellow shirt has a different father than everyone else. The mixed race girl in all black may or may not have the same dad as the boy whos seated in the middle on the couch. Looks like they all share different fathers, hence why the girl said she wasn't shocked that her mother had a daughter that was put up for adoption.

It could be because she was the only girl, and now she will have to share the limelight. As an adopted female with a twin brother, I found my natural mother's family after I became an adult. I found that it wasn't as rosy as I thought it would be. They are often different from you, or you are different from them. But I found my natural mother's side relatives to be very rough and coarse, so I was glad that I was adopted on my natural father's side, who was friends with my adoptive father when they met signing up for the Korean War. Although both sides came from farming, my father's side seemed to be more educated. Both sides were religious, but my natural mother's siblings could be fanatical. I was glad that I was adopted by whom I was adopted because they were the only ones that adopted both of us, not adopt one or the other as some wanted, were well-balanced, and never referred to as adopted. ❤

This was no doubt overwhelming for the siblings. The daughter grew up as the only girl in the family. The siblings aren't very old. Think long and hard about your decision. I want you to know what a beautiful gift our 2 children are. We have 1 biological grandson and 1 adopted granddaughter. I love them both equally. Adoption is a wonderful thing. I feel so very very blessed. You are still very young, but everyone is different.
@BGr8ful4all5 жыл бұрын
Maddie Johnson I had two children before my 20th birthday. Although two of my siblings were adopted, and I love them to pieces, I could not separate my life and my childrens. So I kept them both. They were 14 1/2 months apart. I struggled financially, as I was a single parent for many years. But I told them I love them every day, and used way more positive reinforcement, then negative. I held high standards for them, and encourage them, telling them the only limitations they had were the ones they put on themselves. I also told them, to find their passion, as they could be anything they wanted to be. My oldest son ended up becoming a cardiologist, and is happily married with three beautiful children. And my oldest daughter, is active-duty Air Force, 19 years in. She is happily married, with a wonderful stepson, and two children of her own. And my children made my job look easy! I am so proud of who my babies became, as they always were my pride and joy. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth every moment! Nothing in my life (after God our Father and His precious son) is or was more important, then being able to love my children, and tell them so, every day. I’ve been very blessed. Know that the most important gift you could give your children is the gift of life. They deserve that! ❤️🙏

It is an interesting story. I have a different story concerning an adopted daughter. My first wife and I adopted a daughter when she was eight months old. As it turned out, and quite by error, my wife and I learned the identity of the birth mother. When our daughter turned twenty-one we told her that we knew who her birth mother was and we would be happy to help find her if that is what our daughter wanted. Our daughter took a couple of days to think about it, but then she got back to us and said she was just not interested.

your adoptive parents are the people who raised you, who took care of you when you were sick... they did everything that matters about being a parent... that is where you belong.

I am an adoptive mother. I love my kids, and vice versa. But the world has to understand, adoption is ALWAYS a tragedy for the child. Or at least the circumstances that result in the need for an adoption. Adopted people rarely know how to find the words to express this tragedy and may come across clumsy. As far as I'm concerned, you just can't have enough people love you in this world. I hope her family is simply larger. Her adoptive parents will always have a loving relationship with her, even if she connects with her biological relatives.

mary baker you don't always connect with your adoptive family. That sense of belonging isn't always present. So, yes, sometimes they search for more!

@beispielsweise weise oh my goodness. In no way is adoption like an animal shelter. And we did not adopt our children so we could have someone take care of us in our old age. My father was in a nursing home for a few years before he died. Physically we couldn't care for him. Plus he was an alcoholic and very verbally and emotional abusive. We went to visit often. We made sure he had the best care. Made sure he had the food fixed for him as required. Don't knock adoption nor finding birth family nor nursing homes. Thank God for everything.

You don't get to tell her where she belongs. Your privilege doesn't go that far.

That female sibling is nasty. Should have left her home or took the morning after pill. I hate her attitude.
@khazms6 жыл бұрын
How is she nasty because she wasn't emotional? It's their first meeting but they've known about her for a while. That is a normal reaction. Maybe she's just too shy to show emotion, you don't know them, so why judge them?

The sibling wasn’t nasty at all. It’s a weird situation all meeting for the first time on national tv. I’m sure it felt very awkward.

I so understand her. Knowing who you look like, just this. Knowing why? What is the very reason, wjat can even be a good reason to abandonned your Baby child (your blessing) to someone you dont even know... it is hard. Even when you meet your bio parents , it takes healing and time.

I was taken back on how the woman who gave up her daughter other children reacted. I rewatch when the two met and hugged and the siblings sitting in the background responded. Could not tell if they were happy for reunion or not. And the sisters comment was less than warm and confusing.
