He respected his adoptive parents enough to wait until they passed! They should be proud! His parents raised an honorable family man

And now he is too late because of that. He shouldn’t have had to feel the need to wait for their sake, that’s selfish of them to expect.

Speaking as an adoptee, it isn’t disrespectful to adoptive parents for an adoptee to want to find and meet birth family, it’s not an either or situation, you can have both.

@@AnastasiaZoldak Don’t comment on things you don’t understand or don’t affect you personally. We shouldn’t have to wait for our adoptive parents to die to search for answers, you’re suggesting that it’s some kind of betrayal or being ungrateful to our adoptive parents to do that, and if we do as you suggested then our birth parents might be dead, and it would be too late to meet them.

For those pissed about Part 2 not being available, here's a link. But seriously, ABC News, it's messed up to post half the story and not give a way to find the rest. I had to dig for it, and I shouldn't have. At least post a link to the rest of the story in your description. It's not a clever way to force people to your website unless you let them know that's the solution. abcnews.go.com/Nightline/video/53-years-brothers-meet-time-part-53791230

The second part deals with finding out biological dad killed a Chicago police and that mother was abused by father. She later marries and has two kids. Both his biological parents are dead as well as one of his half brothers. He is able to meet his half brother and both families end up having a picnic at a park and share old photos of his biological mother.

Hey you're not alone. I've been abandoned by my family also. Always remember you share dna with those your are related to but your family are those who love you

If your family is unhealthy and you are not, that would make you foreign to them. If you locate a Celebrate Recovery group in your area, you will find a new and healthy group of people who will be like a family for you. I promise.
