The irony of the army building a pier, giving aid to foreign countries and instigating endless wars while a dam is collapsing at home and Americans are losing their lives, homes and livelihoods. Misplaced priorities!! This entire situation should have been aided through diplomacy and the devastation of average citizens involved could have been avoided. Imagine the damage to both sides long term. The economic and emotional consequences that will come for years. American troops and funds could and should have been utilized on American soil. What would the forefathers of this great nation 🇺🇸 have to say about what’s happening right now? The utter neglect of American citizens by their government will be judged by history.
