This song accompanied me during the french battle for mariage equality in 2013. Thank you Ben. I'll never forget.

I did not know who Macklemore was. I was in the food court before the Imagine Dragons concert and this group had no interest in the main performance and they only wanted to see Macklemore. Now I fully understand why. He seems to be a cheerleader for living! I need that at age 75!

Good for you, you darling! I'm a gen-xer living in a nursing home with most of the residents your age or older; and the oh so casual racism and hate speech compelled me to call for a resident council meeting... Guess what video was playing on the big screen behind me? I played the AMA awards version and the Vevo version with lyrics.... 2/3 f my fellow male and female "inmates" as wecall ourselves since we're living in the worst rated facility in Seattle...I digress... 2/3s were crying openly. I wish I had asked Macklemore to come. I wished I had the money to fly my transgender son and his transgender wife. My gay ordained (Episcopal church) niece, her equally stunning wife and their baby girl would have rounded it out perfectly. I'm a cis (heterosexual, monogamous 57y.o. white chick) and I hope I represented all of my fellow disenfranchised people - as a disabled, formerly homeless person who immediately became invisible and once spat on the moment it was apparent I was without a roof of my own on top of my head. Macklemore, thank you for your strength of commitment to MAKE THIS SONG, AND HAVE IT GO VIRAL. So much love to you honey, Alexandre (Xan) Krisriansson.

Well I'm surprised ABC's left wing liberals put them on maybe they didn't listen to the words and the song thank God for Macklemore the teachers would have tried to change him and told them he was gay but he knew he wasn't go Macklemore all these kids out there do what's right in your heart in your heart no one else's it's your heart your body don't let people try and change you and less you want to change
