@@julianaamericaine7448 but love, since God is not reckless then neither can anything come from him be reckless. God is love and since he is not reckless neither is his love. We as humans are reckless. We “love” recklessly because we don’t know how to love properly on our own and when we separate from God by our own definitions of love which is pride, we define God by our definitions and not His while being decieved. This song does this. Do not be decieved be encouraged that one of Gods fruits that come from him is self control and since this is so, reckless Can not come from him.

We worship a Holy God. The manner of our worship to him should be HOLY. We are in this world but shouldnt live as this world does. The time is coming and has now come that the almighty is looking for true worshippers. John 4v23. May the almighty be so present in our lives that we leave no room for worldly pleasure....

🤦🏻 he’s talking about his love 😂 god isn’t reckless but his love is cause he will risk everything for anyone
@ServantStatusMinistries3 жыл бұрын
@@CameronTylers even if we call someone reckless what we say doesn’t make them what we say they are. Our Father is love and true love is self control and patience which is the opposite of reckless. Our Father loves all of us but He will not chase anyone down who does not want His love and who does not want Holiness and righteousness. God can not risk it all because he can not deny Himself. God doesn’t need to make risks because He is all knowing. He has given us His beloved son His Holy Word Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and who rose from the grave on the third day and us at the right hand of the Father in heaven so that by our faith in Jesus we may be saved. There is no greater love then this. I believe you meant well but we must warn our brother and sisters about how even in our ignorance and definitions we unintentionally change the character of who God is and says He is and that is not a good thing because people learn a different about a different “god”.
@CameronTylers3 жыл бұрын
@@ServantStatusMinistries ok I like wat you replied with very well said and I know how your saying his love is not reckless but I didn’t think when I said what I said but this song is talking about the parable of the lost sheep Matthew 18 : 10-14 and what that means is if a person that’s already a Christian leaves the heard jesus will go after them leaving the other sheep behind to find the one that left and when he comes back the righteous will rejoice over a sinner in heaven then 99 righteous people but love your reply well said
@ServantStatusMinistries3 жыл бұрын
@@CameronTylers I believe I heard that explanation before. Thank you for sharing too, I hope my reply did not condemn you because if in your heart that is your understanding to glorify our Father then it’s not the same as a heart that mocks and believes God to be reckless and it’s a beautiful thing that only He knows our heart and we all only answer to Him. He knows how we feel about Him and how we may not have the right words to describe what we feel at times. We can grow from taking milk to the meat in our studies But our Father still knows what we mean when all things are done for God’s glory. Also Thank you for reminding me of his beautiful and faithful love while we are walking with him to understand and grow closer to him. Jesus is the good Shepard even when we aren’t faithful He is and will always be faithful. Praise God and I love you! 🥰

Some Christians take exception to the words "Reckless Love", but recently in a house church study it was shown that the word HESED in Hebrew (as shared by Michael Card) really captures the theme of this song. If Reckless offends you replace it with HESED as you are singing it in your shower or car...
@josephca95613 жыл бұрын
*GOD's LOVE is NOT Reckless.* *"Reckless love"* it is a very erroneous representation of the love of GOD. Some of the meanings of the word reckless are: carefree, careless, foolhardy, rash, hasty, ill-advised, imprudent, negligent, thoughtless, breakneck, daredevil, desperate, devil-may-care, fast and loose, feckless, harebrained, headlong, heedless, helter-skelter, hopeless, hotheaded, inattentive, incautious, inconsiderate, indiscreet, kooky, mindless, playing with fire, brash, uncareful, unwise. *GOD IS LOVE* 1 John 4:8b Love is an attribute of GOD. Love is a core aspect of GOD’s character, HIS Person. God’s love is in no sense in conflict with any of HIS other attributes / character. There is not a single verse in the Bible where GOD is described in any of the above meanings of the word reckless, because it is not compatible to the character of GOD. Let us see 2 examples: 1) Recklessness implies an inability to see the future, but GOD knows the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). 2) GOD takes no risks because a GOD who is all-powerful and all-knowing by nature cannot take risks. GOD’s salvation plan was never risky or reckless, and all throughout the gospels, Jesus explains that he knows exactly how he is going to be received by the world and what will happen to him (John 10:25-28). We could substitute another word for reckless eg. "great", "wonderful", "awesome" etc... Songs have great power to influence our thought and our beliefs. All of us are vulnerable and emotional during worship, we must be careful about the lyrics that is presented especially to our children. If a particular lyric is promoting an anti-biblical understanding of GOD’s character, as “reckless love” clearly is, then it needs to be corrected. Just because a song is popular doesn't make it right. As worshippers, we have to ask ourselves: do the words coming out of my mouth, which are supposed to guide us in worshipping GOD for who HE really is, accurately reflect God’s character? If they don’t, then how can we be worshipping in “SPIRIT and TRUTH” (John 4:24)?
