After several attempts to login with a new device, being that the old phone no longer exists, This most certainly helped, and resolved the issue. Not even Google itself outlined any of these trouble shooting steps on any of its support pages. Again, this most certainly helped. Ty

Sorry this method did not help even a bit but thanks for your efforts. There is a bug in Google Gmail. If one changes phone number, the Gmail has bug which doesn't update and the same phone number remains there for verification. It keeps sending the code to old number and user keeps on waiting to receive on new number. This could be a major privacy problem & Google is not looking into it. I have checked the forums and the problem keeps on repeating.

If youre on an apple, try looking at your junk folder- all the codes for me kept sending there 🤦‍♀️

This did not work. I had about 10 work Gmail accounts I was trying to delete. 9 of them I had no issues, but 1 of them I never received the text to confirm I was the acount owner. It turns out I typed the phone number in wrong and corrected it but even after that I still don't receive the texts. Any ideas?

Good video. But, do you have a solution for the cases when one logs in and Gmail sends an verification alert through the Gmail app and it doesn't come through?? It tells me to open the app to see the alert, but there is no alert! Actually, when it was working, the alert would be even visible on the lock screen without opening the Gmail app! It's a much faster way of confirming a login. But it stopped working after a new IPhone 14 (could be buried under the 1000 new settings!); now I have to depend on the slower prompt through a text...(which as I said, does come through, but is slower and less practical)

I had this issue, I found out all of my verification emails were being sent straight to the trash folder not the spam folder. Hope this helps

I don't know that's a problem Gmail has I can't get no verification code to my Gmail account my cellphone carrier or Facebook sends me a verification code to my Gmail but I never get it this is annoying same with other friends they say their cellphone carrier or Facebook se D's them a verification code but it doesn't work it only through text messages the problem is Gmail something is wrong with their app with their system.
