they would have no doubt prepared the questions beforehand that they were going to ask Reuben and given the family them ahead of time so that he could prepare the answers on his device. If you notice before Kate asks Reuben a question she looks down at her notes and its obvious shes reading the question out word from word so that its correct to what Reuben prepared. so it is his answers he just had to prepare in advance as it is a live TV show and they only have a limited time and it probably takes Reuben a while to key in answers

Pre-loaded by him, hopefully. That's how people who use speech devices like his usually do interviews, since it takes them a long time to write out the answers. They get the questions ahead of time and prepare answers. They can also save common phrases they use a lot for conversation as well.
