This lady has the same look as the mother of Daniel Morcombe, a young lad abducted while waiting for a bus. He was molested, mutilated and murdered by Brett Cowan who had two previous convictions for sexually abusing young boys but was allowed to roam free. These people can't be rehabilitated. They actually get worse over time, not better.

How much time did the psychologists actually spend with him? I have such little trust of systems, all systems! I'm a mum who has been pushed aside by professionals who don't listen (I have a SEN child). Our voices as family members must be front & centre at all times. This is happening in every system across the board in our society. I'm so proud of those who speak out about this injustice

With due respect to the lady who's daughter was tragically killed, she can't possibly know if he will ever commit another offence. In order to get to the parole board, he would have to under go extensive psychological assessment and meet a criteria to authorise his release, and that includes the condition of his licence and how stringent he will be monitored. Unfortunately we can't keep every prisoner locked away for ever, unless they are on a full life order. This means the offender had a fixed term scentence and had the legal right to apply for parole at the end of his fixed term. This would have been explained to the victims family at the time of sentencing. They should have complained to the attorney General at the time of sentencing that they felt his scentence was to lenient. So to now say " we didn't think he would ever get out doesn't wash " The victims family knew from the outset their was a very real chance this man will be released. Ultimately we have a justice system that is yes based on punishment, but also that people can rehabilitate and be safely integrated into society.
