During my first labour, just about everything went wrong that could go wrong and my husband wasn’t in any way supportive. He got a public telling off, when he went to get something to eat & didn’t come back for 3 hours. I realised in that moment, that I could never rely on him & that was proved to be true!!!

How do you cope and come to terms with something like that?

We really do men disservice. Have the conversation with your partner. I fell even more in love with my husband because he was so attentive and supportive throughout the pregnancies and births of our babies. Even during post baby healing journey he was brilliant. He would have found it super offensive if I said you can’t be at the birth of your babies. Each to their own. If you husband isn’t great at being supportive make sure to take also a second birthing partner. Then that way he can take a step back

Same to menopause, people just dont talk about it. We need a build-up with your partner in the course of the pregnancy.

Elvis didn’t want Pricilla after she gave birth to Lisa Marie. But I don’t know. I think it depends on the partner.

I agree with Nadia, I would rather be on my own, then with someone that doesn't want to be with me, he would just get in my way .. just saying ✌🏼

Hate bate. This is utterly ridiculous. He put it there. He can help. What sort of a man can't support his wife? I'd divorce him in a flash

Support comes in lots of ways. Being down at the business end can be too much of a shock for some men. Who was it who said: “It was like watching my favourite pub burn down” 😂 Robbie Williams it was , talking about his wife Ayda giving birth 😊

Why would someone other than the medical staff be brought into the operating room to see a disgusting sight of blood and secretions? This is very disgusting. yes divorce him and become single mum

Why would someone other than the medical staff be brought into the operating room to see a disgusting sight of blood and secretions? This is very disgusting. The decline in the value of family in Western society and the rejection of marriage proves their failure

Elvis Presley changed towards Priscilla after she gave birth. My friend’s husband asked the doctor to put in an extra stitch after she had their second baby…I had a Caesarian in 1980 and husbands were never present then, I opted for anaesthetic due to being in labour for 17 hours getting nowhere so we both missed out on the birth

My husband was there for every appointment from the moment I find out I was pregnant so ofcourse he was there for the birth of both our kids. I had C-section with both our babies and he saw me cut open and the baby pulled out of me. Nothing gross about it! I was sick recently and throwing up and he was helping with the clean up and I apologized to him and he was like I saw the inside of you so nothing you do will ever cross me out! If someone loves you they love all of you!
