I think the word is "goad"..? The interviewers are goading him on to say something controversial about Brannagh's take on Poirot. David Suchet appears too much of a gentleman to play the game. Personally, I have no time for Brannagh's Poirot,but my opinions won't be twisted in the media that next day.
