The best game of this stream was the guy who wrote a long essay about how his coach told him to stop playing b3 and then d4 so he played d4 and then b3

My favourite part is when Ben says he is not sure who is playing for the win. Best put down in the whole video. Both players served a hot roast.

Truly a rollercoaster of emotion how white went from being up a rook, to being down material, to being up an exchange.

The real rollercoaster of emotion here is watching as Ben struggles to decide whether or not to bite into the cyanide capsule that's hidden in his top right rear molar.

I feel like this is Ben trying to convince both Karen and the audience to not make him have to analyze any more viewer games. Only he doesn't have to make that argument in any way, besides analyze this game. The chess speaks for itself.

Its not like the moves were all terrible, its just that there was not a single good move played in the game

Viewer Game analysis, without even seeing the video yet: Stockfish probably said white blundered away the game. Then black blundered away the game. Then white blundered, then black blundered, this goes on for fifty more moves, and eventually one side blundered so bad that the win was basically forced. How close was I?
@askthepizzaguy11 ай бұрын
I guessed fifty more moves, but apparently, I underestimated the blundering contest by almost double that amount. Also, both sides kept blundering so badly that no one won until the clock decided someone had to lose. I underestimated the bad by a lot, which is pretty impressive given how pessimistic my initial guess was.

While I love Ben and appreciate the humor, I would actually appreciate some helpful analysis on what WOULD be good moves, particularly in that opening.

Then you don't want to watch viewer games. 'That opening' wasn't an opening... it left the book after two moves or so.

I think he said make active moves not passive moves and don't blunder your pieces, block your pieces or move your queen to f8.

It's terrible. No one tries to do anything for 100+ moves, then someone wins by accident (or on time.) There's nothing to analyze, no one's trying to do anything. Woodpushers is a correct interpretation of the game. This is turning into "guess the ELO" and 1400 is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high.

I don't know who teaches beginners to play exchange french but he is wrong and he is a troll. probably you shouldn't promote the dullest opening ever to teach people how boring chess can be. if you do it, use early c4 or something like that. who enjoys dull games of piece trading where it takes a genious to come up with a plan that is not ridiculous.
