This is one the best videos I have seen on removing the exhaust manifolds on these Silverados. Everything was clear and easy to see. He also took his time and did it right. He made it look easy. Experience matters!

This channel is so underrated. I don't understand why the algorithm hasn't helped you a long more. You should be up there with SMA as far as viewership and subscriptions. Been watching you for years keep up the great content.

Thank you for the compliment. I figured it’s just me 🤦♂️ I often wonder the same. I feel my content shows dedication and a positive influence. Came close to throwing in the towel a few times however the viewers I do have appreciate the efforts and this has kept me coming back. I sometimes feel I started my channel so long ago that it’s stuck in the old algorithm. If I posted more consistently on a timely basis maybe that will help.

Thanks for making this video. I got the same engine on a GMC Envoy Denali. Has the same symptoms. I thought it was coming from one of the valves. Need to check the exhaust bolts to confirm if it’s the same issue. Thanks again. FYI great screenshots and for sharing the tools you used to do this job.

Truck is clean. Last one I did turned into a parts bonanza. Manifolds, wires, plugs, all hardware, dip stick tube, oil pan gasket and extracted 6 bolts.

I was ready to celebrate when that dipstick came out 😅 Been there as well. A job like this can go south fast.

Helped me so much. My truck has the same problem. Missing bolt tho. Same bank too. It’s been loosing power when I press the gas.

Just found your Video researching Why my Header I ordered back in may doesn't fit. Apparently the Offending Brand new Header is for a 5.3. Mine is a 6.0, not Doughnut type gasket on passenger side... now trying to figure out what next...

could you just weld a washer and nut on, without removing the manifold, and tighten it a little?
