I am tell'in you man your approach to the plan is great, high enough lift, big enough tires, didn't say what motor your running but it sounds pretty responsive but I see one potential huge problem, as a restorer and builder of these trucks since 1980 I've also pulled for 5 years I can tell you from experience those toothpicks holding your tires &wheels on are gonna go. If you want to play that game you need at the least Chevy dana 60 front, 14 bolt or Eaton HO 72 rear or better yet Rockwell 2.5'ers. That my friend will be your week link. Definitely on your first run bring it on a trailer ---don't drive it, or make sure your cell is charged up!!!!!!!! Jim.

Just to clarify this upload and the project. I found the body and wanted to try building a lifted truck. I have always built bagged before this. You can search google for "$200 Hauler" for my last project. This is not funded by my parents as I am old enough to fund my own life. This video was taken for the person who purchased the truck from me. It wasn't finished by any means so hold the negative comments. Constructive suggestions are always welcomed.

@NIGHTRIDER995 thats awsome my daily driver is a 2006 gmc sierra z71 gfx package shes bone stock other than the cai and the flowtech 1 7/8th headers into true dual 3 inch straight pipes with thrush glasspacks to 3.5 inch tips. when i start her up almost sounds like a gunshot. what i love more about it is that when im at a cruise(low rpms) shes quiet as hell all u can hear is a few random pops from the glasspacks but when i open her up she just roars.. im not sure if my neighbors hate me. lol

I would not have that no front drive shaft call this thing old tooth pick axle s and mall crawler that shit in the woods would last about 10minutes before it broke and way under powered..! all you need is 4"-6" spring lift and 33-35 that's it..! but enjoy the mall and going around the McDonald's if that's what you want from your truck...:-(

For one the rear is a 1 ton 14 bolt, and the front is a 10 bolt 3/4 ton, so stop with the "GET RID OF THE HALF TON AXLES", I personally don't care for the truck, just put a nice paint job on it and drive it around town, if you take it off road you won't need to worry about the running gear the first thing to snap(and it will happen quickly), is the driveshafts.

Pointless, no front drive shaft so it's a 2wd truck, u-joint on the rear d/s is at such a severe angle the joint won't last a week, should have used a transfer case drop box, stock gears transmission is on its death bed should have used 5:13 gears or lower, leaf springs are at such a severe arc the truck has no give in the suspension and the rancho shocks are useless should have used a 4 link suspension, stock axles should have 2.5 ton Rockwell axles
@tonyhammer35882 жыл бұрын
Proof that stupid people can do stupid things. Nobody in their right mind would build a useless truck unless they were half brain dead. Completely useless truck.
