I don’t suggest drilling or even scratching the bed. Bought my 09 brand new wash every week if it was driven or not bed is rusting away. Bubbled fender wells then removed taillights and about passed out. If you do screw anytyinh into it be sure you paint it or some sort of anti-rust

Same! 08, had two tiny bubbles around wheel wells. One on each side. Of course the color could not be blended, so it was a 1000 dollar job just to take care of something smaller than a dime! GM must use either cheap metal or primer/ paint... or both.

Washed every week. As in you washed it or did you take it to the car wash car was is fine but they dont get the wheel wheels vary good. On my 07 I remove the body plugs on the inner wheel wheel and wash it out. Take the tails out and wash under them also the gas cap. I dont do this every time but once a summer will do ya. I know I will have to get the passager side fixed like I did the driver cant see any rust on the out side but with the body plugs out I could feel the rust. So it's just a matter of time. But that's the previous owners fault. Did not wash it properly.

Hey I installed headlight switchback leds on the same truck. Do I connect the resistors on the 2 outer wires or the middle? The rear signal wires are the same as the front signal wires right?

Very similar. The two outer wires should be what you need, but you should always test your wiring.

Flashers are a great option! If your vehicle can take a flasher, we are all for it! Taking vehicles to the dealership works wonders as well, just more of a hassle. Thank you for the good question!

GM did not use a flasher relay in the 2007.5-2013 Sierra & Silverado trucks. These use the BCM to regulate the signal speed. Resistors are the only way to stop hyper-flash.

For a Silverado 08 , if I install in the rear lights will the hyperflash go away in the signal lights from in front , or do I have to install in the front and the rear as well ?

You will need to have resistors installed for front and rear for both of them not to hyperflash. Each turn signalbulb will need to have one resistor wired in for it. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns!

I am wondering if you are just trying one side at a time. To get those bulbs to work, you will need to have both sides for either the front or the rear in order to have them work properly. Let me know if that is what you have been doing or if that is different!

That might be the cause of your issue right there, that would be due to the vehicle not having the same lighting on each side, causing the BCM to shut down those turn signals, or hyperflash them. If you want to test the front turn signals properly, you will need to have both of the front turn signals LEDs installed, and the same for the rear! Let me know what you come up with, and we will go from there!

When led bulbs came out for cars back in the early 2000's they had this hyperflash problem. A couple years after some bulbs came with resistors built in. Why manufactures stopped manufacturing them built in is beyond me.

Getting a new flasher relay to work with the LED bulbs is better. It takes advantage of the low power usage.

What manufacturers should do is have the wiring that is both incandescent and LED compatable, so if one decides to put LED bulbs, no error codes would come up or hyperflashing occurs. No resistors would be needed either.

LED bulbs are pain in the butt. Unless you go with the very good one which is expensive, you wouldn't get any better results than halogen bulbs.

That is true, I would always recommend saving your money and going with the best, you will get way better results!

LED's produce less heat, so sockets do not burn up. LED's use less power, so energy is saved. LED's last longer & illuminate brighter. LED's also "fire up" instantly with full brightness, where as, incandescent bulbs take a couple seconds to reach maximum output.
