What would you recommend to get rid of the raspy noise in an exhaust. I have a truck just like that one 6.0 with speed engineering headers no cats only a carven exhaust. My goal is not too loud rather a deep exhaust.

I had one with headers and 3 inch into a resonated x pipe and then out the side and it was the cleanest deepest exaust I’ve ever even heard

Bigger pipes helps the clap go away and a super 40 is nice and deep, reasonably quite but still good sounding and gets pretty loud if you get on the gas pretty hard

Running the pipes out the back is more difficult and doesn't always look good. Also costs more, everyone has their own taste. Personally I think no tips on this truck look better, just my opinion

Not a cold air intake that's a warm air intake. If he wants a good air intake then get an S&B air intake. That Holley LS intake isn't meant for daily driving. Get rid of the short headers they have been proven to only flow slightly more then a stock manifold and when I mean slightly not enough to make any difference. Long tube is proven. Running 3" straight you have no scavenging in the exhaust so now the Motor has work harder to push exhaust out. Should of been a 2.5" or 2.75" exhaust with full exit to the back. Back pressure on the heads is a myth it's about exhaust scavenging that will help create HP or kill HP If exhaust system isn't matched correctly with the motor.

@@silversurfer720 they have basically the loudness of straight pipe without the raspiness. Nice deep tone. I had them on my 07 6.0 Silverado and now my 2018 5.3 Sierra. For $20 a piece you can’t beat them, and if having only one is too loud you can always add another to quiet it down.
