Interesting, my 2007 GMC Yukon Denali just had the passenger side mirror get stuck open when I got home and attempted to fold the mirrors and only the drivers side worked. Found this video and I lightly pushed in on the passenger mirror until it was closed. I sat on the center console and pushed the unfold button with the passenger window open and pushed lightly on the passenger mirror and they both unfolded by motor. Now they work again because I tested it a few times. 👍

I have an 08 silverado 2500 ltz. I had someone replace my passenger side mirror because it wouldn't fold. Now it folds but whenever I put it in reverse the mirror does not return to the set memorized position. Any idea how to fix this problem?

I need help!! I have a 05 tahoe and my power folding mirrors wont fold in but if i manually fold them in i can unfold them using that big square button, what can be the problem they were working perfectly fine this morning but i just got home from where i was and they stopped working i was going 90 mph and they decided to stop functioning

90 mph..? I think your problem is the button itself you may have to replace the whole panel assembly. sounds like you have dirty or worn contacts. Good luck.

They think it may or may not work. disconnect your battery for 20 mins. then connect it back. hopefully, this will reset the computer.

@@notsofast2325 Ok say i have these mirrors on my truck and the left outside mirror and the inside mirror and those two mirrors are tinted and the right side mirror is the way it should be nice a clear even the temp gauge on the mirror is blacked out you can barely see it I don't know whats going on it hasn't always been like that all my mirrors have been normal up unto that point which has been around 2 months. Whats wrong with it....

Well if it is stuck you may have a problem with the gears inside. you may have to replace it.

Hello. I've got a 2017 GMC 2500 Sierra PU. Both extendable towing mirrors have a tendency to 'not' fold in all the way. (When going through a carwash I need to fold them in). I was told to 'exercise' them and they would re-adjust. I tried this and they worked for a couple of days and then stopped again. Sometimes they come in part way and stop. Sometimes they don't even move. (somewhat like a lubrication issue) Any ideas?

Well putting some oil wouldn't hurt. Try that. They are fussy..

I have a toyota ractis 2008, my problem is the passenger side mirror is not clicking into place. The body or the actual frame and mirror turns all the way out and I have to either hold it in place so it doesnt go out or i have to click it forward back into place. Since I changed my car battery, the mirror system started playing up and my driver seat winder didnt close fully. I managed to fix the window but I still have the same problem witht he side window lol I dont know how to reset the fuse or what the problem is. I hope I can do it myself anyway lol any thoughts lol

I have a 2018 Silverado. Just have power mirrors not power folding. The driver mirror got pushed forward slightly as I backed up to ck my mail box. This happened many times with my 2002 Silverado with no issues. Now the motors for passenger or driver side do not work.fuses ok per my oil change guy. Out of warranty what to look for first?

Well what i would do is check the fuses myself( don't trust anybody, oil guys are just that, oil guys.) if that does not work then i would disconnect the battery and wait 5 mins and then reconnect it to reset everything. Next if it's still not working i would check to see if i was getting power to the mirror. Yes your going to have to use a amp meter and do some probing. i would start at the mirrors and work backwards to the fuse box. it may have just gotten unplugged or worse you pull a wire and it broke the wire. It could be many of one thing, check to see if your mirror can move freely. when you press the buttons can you hear the motor move, is the mirror stuck?. it also can be that your rocker switch is dirty or broken. and maybe need replacing. Good luck.

You need to use the buttons on the bottom of the steering wheel( two on each lower side) and navigate till you find mirror tilt or something like that when in reverse.

Well I would remove it and see if you getting power to the mirror, check your fuses, if you are getting power, replace it. If not you will have to check the switch, if the switch is good you may have a shot. Good luck.

1 i have my 03 for over 10 yrs, i do not leave the switch in the middle and no issues with the motors 2 i always fold them in manually and now issues with them moving on their own (and yes they are power folding) so im not sure where you get your info from but its wrong

Then you obviously have not had a problem with your mirrors. I am showing you how to do it, not that I'm fixing mine. Sometimes they become unsynchronized and or shaking or unsynchronized or misaligned from getting bumped. So the factory says to do this to get them to work properly. Look it up in your owner's manual. I'll take that hamburger now, Don't forget the fries.
