My heated seat on the drivers side does not work as well as the pedel adjustment and the seat position buttons. Is thus all controlled by a fuse or am i looking at a bad module?

Want to see if you, REALLY respond. My heated seat says IGN 3 too but I just want to disable mine because it keeps coming on and off. I’m a single female, not able to pull out seats, just want to disable it from coming on but not my ignition???

One thing you can do is Unplug it, The plug is underneath the seat.

Dude mine won't stay off ..keeps coming back on ..and I am a School Resource Officer working in 95 degree weather .. they don't pay me no mind but my truck seats is killing me ..and it comes on when I close the door like it's a ground problem ... ..keeps going up down up till it stays on ..killing me ..please help and GMC don't want to work on old trucks because these sometimes fix themselves cause there is no labor in a these truck up to 2006 ..ease help

go on the internet and find and pull the fuse or go undernet and unplug the heater. sounds like you have a bad relay. I'm surprised the element hasn't burned out.

From what I understand it could be either the heated seat button cluster in the door, or it could be the windows and door locks button cluster in the door. One of these is usually the cause of the heated seats turning on on the road. Mine is doing the same thing, the seat heater turns on randomly while driving. I came here looking for the fuse to pull to temporarily stop the problem but seems like if it's also the ignition switch that would not help me. On to more searching!

Ignition is connected to the heated seats ..why? ..that sounds like you don't need to pull that .. any the ignition is hooked up to ..Need another answer !

@@daviddixon4692 I found another video where he says to pull the DDM fuse. I haven't tried it yet but I will try it next. I have read another comment in a different video saying that he disassembled and cleaned the module that has the windows and door lock buttons in it and that after cleaning it it works fine. I will try this.

Apparently that’s not the proper fuse for the seat heater because mine comes on my it’s self and pulling the fuse doesn’t prevent it from working.

you don't have to program the heated seats. its ether on or off. the problem can be many things , fuse, short under the eat, burn out element, bad switch. Good Luck

So I shut my truck off last night in a drive thru so they could hear me, turn it back on and my heated seats don't work and I lost my power seat adjustment to the driver side only. Any Idea if it could be this?

Where is the fuse for the back seat right side? Thats the only one not working.

I believe the Instrument panel fuse block the fuse is ING3.. Check to see if your plug underneath the seat is bad. Get a circuit testor, ...at the back of the seat near the bottom is there large black connector. The large black has all the seat movement and heater circuits. There are 2 large terminals and they can become overheated and loose connection. Check those first. Separate black connector look at all areas of the black connector. The yellow connector is the air bags, leave that alone. Look VERY CLOSE for discolored terminals at the corners for the large terminals. If there is some yellow/brownish discoloration on the two side terminals . They are powered by heavy gauge wires that are color coded orange (top) and black (bottom). If the orange wire had about 1/2" of brownish discoloration on it next to the connector replace the metal fitting or replace the connector. Good luck
