I always believed Minecraft was a much darker game than what it appears to be. Kids love it all over the world, but looking at the lore, hearing unused sound bits and seeing little tiny things makes me realize just how scary the game is, and I love it. My favorite theory is about the Woodland Mansion, and why there are so many rooms with odd wool statues. The illagers know you, the player. They know your abilities and what you can do, but they themselves cant do it such as build or respawn from their beds. They make fake beds but they cant sleep or respawn. They make the End portal because theyre TRYING to actually enter the End. They have teal and blue wool because theyre TRYING to make YOU, and they have lapis blocks because of its magical abilities. They make statues of themselves with the lapis inside because theyre trying to make MORE of themselves. Notice how they dont respawn? They cant create like we can, they can only manipulate - hence the villagers in cages and ravegers looking and sounding like villagers. When the Woodland Mansions were released and I took a look inside, I was deeply disturbed upon finding these...wool copycats. I knew the illagers were evil, but now I see them as utterly sinister and more intelligent that I'd like to admit. Another theory I entertain is the use of an extreme dark magic using souls. If you ever mine a mob head, the particles belong to soulsand, and may I remind you that soulsand breathes, moans when you mine it, and is covered with screaming faces. Let that sink in. Terrifying.

I had a quick look through the comments but couldn't find your answer. Yes, the 3D anaglyph works perfectly. When it was first added and I got Minecraft in version 1.4, I actually went out of my way to get some 3D glasses, and I still have them today. While it does work, I tended not to play with it enabled because there was always color distortion, which I didn't really enjoy. TLDR: Yes, 3D glasses still work, but there's some color distortion, so I don't use it much.

LegendFinder / Dontlookatthemoon deserves its own entire video, a arg that started in minecraft but strayed away from it, depicting someones slow decent into madness over an obsession, a obsession over theories and ideas he himself created, and entiarly believing in all of them, ignoring his own family's attempts to help, moving out of his state just to not be bothered and only then realizing he couldnt even survive on his own etc. before eventually starting therapy and getting better, making his "research" he decided to abandon public so they could understand, look into it themselves theres a shit ton of work that went into that ARG, and this entire iceberg being one of them (as Legendfinder is the one who canonically uploaded this iceberg, and his research for it led him to the old "dont look at the moon" overly spesific instructions

For anyone curious what the text at 1:01:52 says, I transcribed it myself (with some spelling corrections) And considering we're talking about a children's game here, I feel the need to clarify that absolutely everything about this is fictional, it's just a creepypasta: "It has been reported that some victims of torture, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one except they were not being tortured. The only way that they realized they need to WAKE UP was a note they found in the fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP."

Steve's Sentience is so... I don't even know how to word my thoughts on it properly. On a technical level, it's written very nicely, but the premise is kind of just funny to me. Steve punches a tree one (1) time and immediately starts bleeding all over the place, and then everything else happens. It's interesting, but mostly I just want to know what motivated the author to write something like that. It reminds me of creepypastas/nosleep stories that are written solely for the gore.

After reading the entirety of Steve's Sentience... I actually kinda liked it. It is a really good adaption of some of the simplest things you do and see in Minecraft, into pure horror. The fact it can be seen as an infinite loop also is amazing. The writing itself is really well done. Very well worded. Very detailed. 10/10. Edit: Also, I love how the Heart display never changed. Very useful.

I agree. As someone who is a fan of horror for the artistic genre is it, Steve’s Sentience is probably now one of my favorite examples of written horror on the internet, along with The Egg Theory and Circus Baby’s story/poem on Night 3 in Sister Location. Can’t help but to agree here with your second point. Notch has a history with antisemitic comments among many of his other offensive (and, at times, even threatening) comments. Microsoft’s comments are mute regarding the intentions behind the villagers designs since Microsoft wasn’t involved with the development of Minecraft at the time villages were added. To me, the relationship between Iron Golems and villagers proves enough that there were roots of inspiration off Jewish communities and folklore in the designs of villages, and even if the stereotypical design elements of the villagers were accidental, Notch didn’t care about them, which is just as bad

Yes the 3d glasses worked, I tried it back in the day. There was also a time where making a creeper face out of dirt respawned the ender dragon. I remember using it to remove bedrock in the over world. I went to the end eventually wondered why TF there were like 15 dragons. It was years later when I realized lol

Thanks! Sorry if I may have butchered the deeper meaning to the final entry. I tried to make it in a way to where the viewer has to try and make sense of it

It's rare that I learn new stuff from a Minecraft video. This was good.

this might sound annoying but has anyone got the music name at the start of layer 3 at 28:05 besides that i wanted to say that this was one of the more complete minecraft icebergs video, most of the time when people are making these types of videos, they dont really know what theyre talking about or do poor research, and i wanted to let you know about this, i like how the subjects are talked about here!

I think the song I used there is one of the new underwater songs, but I honestly don’t remember. It’s from the OST though, that much I remember. C418 probably, he’s the goat
