Still love this radio, was simple to mount up high behind the dash. Routed the cable through the plastic towards the centre console and broke out in front of the drivers seatbelt socket. The magnetic base holds firm on the side of the plastic tunnel beside the auto shifter and the clarity is amazing. Ch40 while driving may as well be called the Comedy Channel. My 370 came with the hangup one and I upgraded it myself to the magnetic one I even did a KZbin video on doing it.

Good work GME! I have the 330 and it's great, hides away well, gets a bit warm, but still great. Only thing is the transmit Mic level is a bit low, but other than that, epic! Keep up the great work!

Do the 330 and 370 share same aerial plugs at the back. I see you can buy the 370 with a dual antenna kit

Hi mate, both have the same antenna socket. Regarding the dual antenna kit; I believe you're referring to our XRS pack which includes two interchangeable whips and one antenna base, however, only one can be used at a time. Hope that helps!

Other than the speaker, metal body and magnetic base, are there any circuit differences in the units? I have a brand new 4x4, so like the option of the magnetic base. It's not loud inside, can the extra speaker be turned off? What's the output of the TX? Same as your lower models being 5W? Edit: All good, read both manuals supplied on your website. Will visit my local TJM store and pick up a pack for my rig. Nice looking radios!

as a radio they operate the same, only the few physical differences separate the XRS-330C from the XRS-370C.

Hi mate, the standard microphone extension cable supplied with our XRS Radios is 1.8m (LE040), we also offer an optional 6m microphone extension cable (LE107). We do not recommend running an extension cable longer than 10m

Yes this can be turned off! Press the menu key, then navigate through the menu to select readio settings, then select speaker. Then use the channel up/down to select the option you desire.

Hi whats the best non ground plane antenna for use in the car for new Zealand with mix of a lot of hills and city driving and short flat areas as i dont want to make holes in my roof. My current scanner antenna is mounted and earthed on the front wheel panel Guard between the bonnet where the wheel panel mounts to the car where may AM SSB CB is also mounted. i usually just change the antennas for my 27mhz and 26mhz radio when needed. I think the new uhf antennas have a different antenna mount. so i will have to add another antenna to my car just for the new radio.Also does the NZ UHF CB have a 24 hour maned emergency channel by the 111 emergency services.Also why doesn't the new radio come with an antenna. Also will my old uhf 40 channel uhf antenna work on the 80 channel set. I'm buying the GME XRS-370C. Sorry for all the questions.

Hi, the AE4704B or AE4707B would both be great antenna options for you. There is no dedicated emergency channel on UHF CB in NZ. You can buy the XRS-370C in a pack with an antenna - the model is XRS-370C4P.

So you have an OLED display with static image on screen. Dose the OLED display have a screen saver when not transmitting or when adjusting the settings? I would like to see how terrible the screen burn-in is after six to twelve moths of use, and have a guarantee stipulating replacement of the CB microphone when exhibiting screen burn-in, before purchase.

Hi I'm in new Zealand is it true that you can receive the police uhf frequency's for listening but you can't talk to them on the GME XRS 370C but just monitor them so I dont have to use my radio scanner in the car as well so I dont have to have 2 antennas on my car. I also have the older 40 channel uhf radio but I haven't heard any one on it is there many people on this 80 channel uhf CB radio in new Zealand to warrant the upgrade. and will my 40 channel uhf antenna work on the 80 channel set thanks.

Hi there, The XRS will allow users access to selected listen only frequencies that may include emergency services if they are not running encrypted transmissions. As for the 40 channel, this will still work alongside the 80 channel variants (only up to channel 40 of course) but there will be some issues with the transmissions coming through and they will often be quieter. If possible we would recommend updating to an 80 channel model.

Looking at going for the xrs370 with the AW4705B antenna(2.1 & 6.6 Db), are they worth the extra investment over the AE4018BK touring antenna?

Depends on what driving you intend on doing. If you are doing more offroad driving the AE4705B will be better due to being a more heavy duty option. If you intend on doing mainly on road touring the AE4018BK will suit.

Hi mate, yes it can. Go to Menu->Radio Settings->Speaker and then you can choose between mic, radio or both.

If I had an warranty issue with the handheld unit, do you replace just the handheld or do you request the entire unit to be sent back to the purchase place? Recently bought a xrs 370 and found an issue with the handheld unit.

Hi mate, in order to accurately assess any potential fault, it is best to return both the microphone and main radio unit to the place of purchase for assessment

GME Thanks for the response, talked to arb wentworthwille today they sorted the issue on the spot. Happy with the way they handled the issue , will buy another gme product for this reason. The issue - the plastic piece covering the OLED screen just came off

The 330c is overpriced compared to the Gap price of the 370 your paying alot just for a Magnet and XRS Connect app functionality. The 330 should have a metal braket and metal housing thats huge Rip off on the 330c

The sensitive bits inside could be under a metal can on the PCB for EMI shielding. My handheld 2-way radios and phones aren't made of metal and I don't have interference issues.
