I just bought the XRX-370C Very nice unit. I am a bit confused on setting up the scanning and am waiting for the Zones and scanning video to be uploaded with more details on the scanning

I have just bought new vehicle and had this radio fitted. Has so many more features than I was aware of. So I am looking forward to watching these videos. I've just replaced the old uniden rm800 with with the xrs connect 370 and I'm blown away at how loud and clear the speaker is and even picked up old mate in his camper some 20km away.

Is it possible to use the app with apple CarPlay ?

Do the location services attach to an Apple CarPlay or Android Auto compatible head unit so you can see the location services map on a larger screen?

Can you connect the TX6160 to the XRS Connect app

Unfortunately not as the TX6160 does not have bluetooth to allow it to be connected. The XRS Connect app only works with the XRS range of radios.

I've just DL'd the new all-in-one xrs connect app. Q. Has the "control" section been removed from the Android version of the app? I cannot find how to remotely control the handset via BT.

Hi there mate, The section where you can adjust 'controls' has not been removed. To access it you will need to click on the 3 lines and then radios. At this stage you can pair to your radio and once this is done a small cog will appear that allows you to go in and access the settings and adjust them accordingly.

@@GMEaus Thanks for the reply. It's not the settings I'm after. Looking for "controls" which remote control the channel selection & volume etc. This was in your original app and now this seems to have not been included in the combined app. It was a deciding feature for me to choose GME. Can you look at including it in the next build pls?

Hi, wanting to know how to read and use the GPS on the app, is that to find the location where the car actually is? Going bush and family want to follow. where can I find that pls. Cheers

In order to send and receive location information between XRS radios, you will need to be in radio range.

Love the Apps they are great for changing settings and updating the radio etc. I’ve had issues with the XRS Connect Location Services that I reported haven’t had any updates to the app fixing it yet :( love the radio and the apps just needs some fixes :)

Both XRS apps are now combined into a single app - called the XRS Connect App

Hey Guys, Just bought the XRS and downloaded the accompanying apps. They seem to work quite well so far. (limited testing as yet). My only question is, are you looking at updating these apps for Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto Compatibility? Using the location services would be much easier on the head unit screen IMO. Thanks!

Hi mate, yes it's just one app now. We have actually removed the legacy apps, we no longer support the old Android devices

Unfortunately the app doesn't work now with Android 11. The app just crashes.

Hi mate, we are aware of this issue on the Android version and our software team is working on resolving this. Unfortunately, it has not been the ‘quick fix’ we had hoped for but we are working on a new and improved version that will address these issues that is due shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

@@GMEaus thanks for the update. Btw the XRS370C has to be the best uhf radio on the market. Bonus its all aussie made. Keep up the great work .
