I don’t watch many Kasparov games since they are too advanced for me but this one was nice. Felt like a normal player lol Thanks.

bxf7 +. If king takes then nxe5 + and you fork king and the bishop, if king doesn't take then they lose their right to castle and you win a pawn

That was my thought as well.

Bishop F7 looks very inviting, free pawns around the king and a nasty gambit that leads to 2 pawns gained + advantage in development.
@williamsquires30702 жыл бұрын
I assume you mean 1 Bxf7+ …? Unfortunately, black is not obligated to recapture and simply moves 1 … Kf8. Then after an eventual pawn to g6, black will move Kg7 and castle artificially and move the rook to f8, attacking the white bishop on f7 (assuming white didn’t move it away by then.) Keep in mind, black still has Nxc2 if white tries to get out of the pin with 2 Qe1, and 2 Nxe5?? … would be a game-losing blunder, dropping the queen-bishop trade. (2 … Bxd1, 3 Rxd1) 😢
@namedperson14362 жыл бұрын
If king doesn't capture you just retreat the bishop and have good potential at grabbing the central black pawn after some exchanges. I think it is almost guaranteed that you will end up being two pawns up.
@namedperson14362 жыл бұрын
@@williamsquires3070 So you retreat the bishop and will end up with another pawn up in the center after some exchange of pieces.
@hugosuk5632 жыл бұрын
bxf7 if king takes you are winning clearly if black moves kf8 then you retreat your bishop and you're solid, the opponent can't castle, and you have a great game. If they trade their knight and bishop, you're even better yet, you can lose the rook for both pieces which are apparently not as good as taking back with the pawn but for lower-level play, opening up your king is riskier. I'd recommend rook takes, then both pieces are traded and you move the bishop to e3 and wait for your opponent to make a mistake or overextend their pawns, and you just solidly develop an attack towards the king. If you play too aggressively in this position as white you can still lose, however.

Bf7, if black K x B, N x e5 check, K moves out of check, N x g4 B, N x N, Q x N, now white is looking good.

You are excellent as chess teacher and quite underrated compared with say gothamchess. Why? You are as good or actually better than Levy. Promote yourself more! Do something!

Bishop takes F7 Check, King takes Bishop, Knight takes E5 Check Check, King moves, White queen takes Bishop on G4

Then knight on f6 takes Queen? Shouldn't that be knight on E5 takes bishop?
Bishop opening is very aggressive. I think i should play like Garry

I put it into stock fish as was wondering what happened after Kf8 which seems the critical move due to the pressure still on f3. Bishop retreats back as it’s still hanging then Nxf3 gxf3 and Bh3. Turns out engine actually is happy to sacrifice the exchange and not move the rook. If you move the rook which is the human move white is still better but black starts to get a pretty big attack and for lower level human play I probably prefer to be black. Interesting position as even if you find the best move as white Bxf7 if black plays Kf8 I think for lower level humans white can very easily lose.
@Hyperborean_22 жыл бұрын
@@theoffbeatgamer8285 true.. the black king can move elsewhere, not taking the white bishop, and then sacrificing in order to get rid of white's active pieces.. simplifying However, Bxf7 is a great move for white because black won't be able to castle anymore

Isn't this better be reached from Viena gambit move order? I play it a lot and I always almost get to this position, whereas with bishop's opening I get it much less.

Of course black has played like a novice, made little mistakes, and Bd2 is against the standard opening when BxN should be played. H6 another time waster. Preparation for queenside castling would have been better. So preserve the bishop first on C5, and don't go kingside into the coming attack. So A6, or Bb4 or Nd4 were options to discuss, and not h6.

But black doesn’t have to capture the bishop. If Kf8 you have to move the bishop back. I guess you get a pawn and a king on the open f file but after the other exchange your gonna be down material. Idk maybe after there are Nd5 and Pg4/g5 or Bg5 ideas
