@@yumiyumd8911 All Darkin formally had bodies, but they were trapped as weapons after a war. Those weapons corrupt those who hold them and take over the holders body. It's the whole concept with Kayn and Rhaast.

The few who survived (the 5 who will be revealed, three fo them being Rhaast, Varus and Aatrox) were sealed across all Runeterra, because they're too strong. Rhaast was sealed in a Scythe, Varus was sealed in a well in Ionia (the one in the video) and Aatrox was sealed in a blade. Idk about Rhaast and Varus too well, but Aatrox was sealed for such a long time that he became mad. After feeling only your heartbeat for centuries, without feeling, smelling, seeing, hearing or touching anything, anyone would go mad. Many times, when someone picked him up, they died soon after. But Aatrox finally found someone who could handle him, and he took over him to be known as the World Ender I think. That last part I'm not sure. Also fun fact, by the definition of a darkin, Nasus and Renekton are technically Darkins too, maybe those two are the "unknown" darkins we still have "yet" to know the names of.

Varus is a Darkin, a corrupted Ascended being that was trapped in that well for centuries. Valmar and Kai (the two guys from the beginning) were defending Pallas from the invading Noxians when one of them got hurt. The well was rumored to hold power so in an effort to save his lover, Kai (or Valmar, I can't remember who is who) dives in with him. This breaks the seal on Varus' prison, and he claims both their bodies for himself, as he doesn't have one at this point. After this he goes out to find revenge on those who imprisoned him. "As we fall" is actually Part 2 of a three-part lore drop. The first part explains who Valmar and Kai are, and the third part shows the inner struggle as Valmar and Kai attempt to wrestle control over their shared body from Varus.

Is pantheon still in control when he is there, do they pull people from random parts of their timeline, do they only get summoned post death, or are they summed from the current point in the developed lore? Last one seems likely just cuz its an easy cop out to stall time to design an entire work and 150~ chars worth of lore intertwined in it.

@@BlinksTehShit The game has nothing to do with the lore. Summoner's Rift doesn't exist in Runeterra. And neither do Summoners. The old lore was basically what you wrote, but that lore is outdated for a few years now. The Howling Abyss does exist in Runeterra, yes, but neither the towers nor the battles we fight on it in the game. Both Summoner's Rift and the concept of Summoners are not canon. So no one gets ripped out of their story to do our bidding. The characters in lore have no idea that there is a game with them in it because in the lore what and where we (the players/Summoners) play doesn't exist. And the only reason the players are called Summoners in LoL is because of the early lore of a game that had 30 playable characters where the League of Legends was a way to resolve wars more or less peaceful by pitting a few people of different nations against each other, controlled by god-like entities (the Summoners) and whoever won on the Rift won the war. And again, this was the lore from around 11 years - 7 years ago. Back then the characters signed up for the League of Legends, which was canon in the lore, to help their nations or themselfes, depending on their character and reasons.

Ok so tldr the two bodies that Varus possesses are the gay couple. Basically one of them was about to die, so the other one through him into the pool to try to save his life. Effectively the character Varus is a gay three sum.

5:40 Yes, he can split his arrows to make them rain on top of the enemy. Or he can concentrate everything in one big piercing shot that goes through all enemies in line. He can also shoot an arrow that can root a lot of enemies. Varus is quite powerful and is constantly in competitive meta. Wade would probably like him a lot.

Varus is my main, Heartseeker Varus is actually pretty good looking though. Anyway, Varus is actually the Bow they're holding. Long ago Varus was an Ascended corrupted by countless battles against the void. An ancient queen had him bound within his own weapon by the assistance of a certain Targonian of Twilight. However, the bow he was bound to was then bound to the queen and his corruption began to spread to the wielder. The queen bid her people to dig a pit in which she would cast herself for them to then seal the now Darkin, Varus away. Time passes and all that is remembered is of a pool containing a forbidden power... As the nation Ionia wars to defend itself against the invasion of Noxus.

Her body had changed to be monstrous and she had her subjects seal her away as her last act as their queen. Zoe did give them the means to seal Varus into his own bow in the first place though.

Varus has three souls in one. The "vision guy" was Varus, and the other two (i forgot their name) were Ionian hunters. They were lovers, and fought back to back all the time. One time, when the Noxians invaded Ionia, one of them got injured. Previously the priestess in that temple told them, that the pool in that temple can save anything. That's why he brought his lover there, but they didn't know, that they have unleashed a darkin with that (a darkin is a fallen/corrupted Shuriman asscended). That darkin was Varus. He forged a new body to himself, with their bodies. And now in the lore, the two Ionian guy is fighting against Varus for the full control. That's the short version of their lore. It's a pretty good story, i recommend to read it, even if you are not playing the game☺️.

I know very little but my analysis was that Varus began existing and was already existing, in a sort of destiny way. The two men were meant to fall, and during their struggle to stay together and avoid the corruption of Varus, they ended up staying together forever as Varus.

This music video show's the pysches of Kai and Valmar when their heads "explode". One was always quite aggressive and brash, and we see that in his mind there's a scene of battle...whereas the other was the calmer and more compassionate of the pair, and we see that in his mind there's a scene of him hunting in a serene grassland. According to the lore, there are four Darkin weapons remaining in Runeterra. The first is Varus who was in a bow. The second is Aatrox in a sword. The third is Rhaast in the scythe that Kayne uses. The last is still unknown. The first two have taken over their hosts' bodies, while Rhaast is in the process of the possession. In-game, as Kayn, you get to pick if Kayn manages to overcome the possession and become a Shadow Assassin or if Rhaast wins and totally possesses his body. Pantheon had a fatal fight with Aatrox and Pantheon's latest rework furthered both their stories.

The darkin varus is trap deep within that ionian temple val and kai are the 2 male going inside. Technically they're not gay but hunting partners assigned to eachother for life. As they dive within the deep pool. Varus awaken fron deep sleep( varus is the bow) he was suppose to only take kai but seing them both varus decided to unite them.

Actually Varus isn't gay. Varus is the fusion of a darkin named varus (the demon) and 2 lovers. They are together by the eternity, fighting for the control. Is well knowed that the darkin takes a human body and consume his soul (actually the darkin is the weapon). If the human soul is strong enough, the darkin can be defeat, and the human remain with the darkin's powers (like Tryndamere oi Kayn). But if not, the demon came to the live (like Aatrox). Actually, Varus decided to take the archer soul, but because he saw that he was interested on save his lover, Varus decided take both.

Foreign invaders came and attacked his village, but he decided to stay at the temple and protect it as he swore to, instead of protecting his village. When he went home, everyone was dead, including his family. Having lost everything, he went back to the temple and took the power he guarded for himself, so he could chase and kill every last invader, even if the corruption would eventually kill him.
