In this sequel episode of Where Are We Now, we're diving deep down into some more creepy Garry's Mod maps that just keep descending. Expect eerie exploration, liminal spaces and unnerving mysteries. Also I forgot to credit several things in regards to the maps covered in the credits. Everything is in order here in the description, though.
Dan, the voice of P.R.I.S.M.S. is available for voice acting and can be found here:

The oversized bathrooms are funny to me because they’ve always been a reoccurring motif in my dreams. Either a home restroom will be the size of the backyard or a public restroom will be the size of a football field with hundreds of stalls inside. Its so strange and I have no idea why it keeps happening.

I have dreams like that, too. They're always made to be as unpleasant as possible, though, like they're designed to make you uncomfortable. I'm talking stalls with two toilets type of vibes. I love the new intro cinematics / title cards for each map, it's a way more cinematic experience now! And while the Steam mod pages made it very viscerally clear these things exist and can be downloaded by anyone that's interested instead of JUST being cool mysterious things, it's probably the right choice going forward since not every game has a direct counterpart (as you pointed out in the first VRChat video).

18:29 The Thing is a great movie, but I gotta say the one scene where they're doing the test to see who is and isn't The Thing by burning drops of their blood is pretty dumb. Like testing everyone's blood and all is well and good, but when you're tying people up to do a Thing Test, you should A. not tie them together and B. untie them as soon as they pass the test. Because if you don't do those two things you end up with part of your remaining, living crew tied to a Thing, which is what happened and probably should not have happened.

Never really considered the idea of a map going deeper and deeper to stick out, but they always tend to fascinate me when maps do that. Not gmod, but one that comes to mind is Hollow Knight. sgmod has so many maps that encapsulates the feeling I want to feel when in a horror scenario- even if unintended, the uneasiness of being inside the house just looking out into the endless field, EVEN in broad daylight...it doesn't feel right. Same goes for the majority of maps but it's especially true for when it doesn''t seem like it's intended to be a horror setting. And as far as I know, only gmod can make me feel that way. Love it.

I find Liminal spaces like these weirdly comforting. My mental 'safe space' is an abandoned public pool entirely enshrouded in darkness (so much so that it could easily be subterranean). It's all shimmering sheets of light reflecting off of waves undulating and lapping at the edges, but also orange lighting forming pockets of warmth, as well as mattresses scattered throughout. The changing room showers hide tiled corridors that zigzag down into the bowels of the earth, the water from the shower heads cascading down the steps into an endless labyrinth. There's something about the absolute isolation that I find incredibly soothing, as someone who struggles with people. The abrupt contrast of cool, wet concrete and the warmth of various little sheet nests results in a fluctuation of cool winds whipping past me and the staccato rays of warmth beating against my skin

Ngl Vacant Industry is my fav too, i noticed the presence of the AIREX Truck from the HL2 Beta, and the general vibe is really similar to the beta Citadel, especially the 50km tall area with pipes.

The oversized meeting room is actually fairly standard Put in a couple of small bits for one once and the place was massive, had just a small u table in the middle for like 8 people, big huge tvs with weird panels on the screen part to blend it with the wall, cameras mounted in places, etc.

I was genuinely surprised to see that you only have 14k subs. From the vibe of the video I was expecting at least 100k. Props to you man

Dark Souls 1 has one of, if not my favorite game world because of the verticality. Such a feeling of exploration and distance.

Your commentary is very reminiscent of Ross Scott in Freeman's Mind. Very similar delivery, especially the bit about crackheads or dwarves digging through the concrete.

I absolutely adore this series, I left a comment on the last one saying i might do a similar thing, and while I certainly want, it might be a while before I do, but this is superb. I also vehemently agree with the "source engine just feels like home" comment, i can't quite describe it either. That and the tangents while exploring reminiscent of Freeman's Mind, I simultaneously want to watch more and make my own, but don't have the free time to do much of either. Wishing you all the best on future vids

Thank you for another awesome video!! If I remember correctly, mummies tend to be after organs and moisture / blood / just absorbing your life energy for their own. Isn't it interesting how a ton of 'undead' creatures are after living things for similar things? There's gotta be a connection somewhere haha (Maybe the undead still desire what they living have?)
