6RIE nah he’s basically correct. There’s very little left of the original genesis. It’s got all aftermarket body panels, a new engine, completely new suspension, etc...

Matt L Nope, if it's not a genesis, WHY does everyone use factory cars, strip them down, and make them into full on drift cars? Drift cars are not drag cars. Promod and Pro-Stock drag cars do NOT resemble, or look, or have factory parts, drift cars on the other hand are THE ACTUAL car!

6RIE drift cars use the bare frame. Nothing else. They typically have completely redesigned suspension, tube front and rear, engine swaps, aftermarket body panels, etc.... it’s nothing like a stock genesis lmao. The literal only thing it shares with a stock genesis is the basic center of the shell(I.e the drivers area/cockpit). Past that, it’s nothing like a genesis

Really loved this car. Its amazing to see where it started, how it developed from one driver to another and how it is at the point it is now. Really hope we can see a refresh/rebuild of this car in the future for demo's or overseas stuff once more someday. Always was a favorite car and wish that with more modern tech and updated chassis we would see more Genesis drifting.

with modern day suspension components available now (like the FDF angle kit and PBM rear kit) will the car perform similar or better than yours with all that custom work?

Miguel Oliveras we tried many off the shelf items on this car, but ultimately realized that in order to get the performance I was used to from my other dialed cars, we needed to custom build everything and modify the rear subframe as much as the FD rule book allows.

What modifications did you make to the oiling system? And what were some of the most common or biggest mechanical failures you had with the bk chassis while it was competing?

Seven Umstead we just use a wet sump oil system with a volume and pressure Melling pump. The only failure that was a Hyundai part was the front wheel bearings.

Might sound like a stupid question but you are a little overstocked in Pro cars right now, would you ever think about promoting and sponsoring a young driver into FD? I'm thinking a full Feal suspension livery to promote your own brand.

justdave100 that is a excellent question. Building the new S15 definitely has opened some opportunities and once we get that car in action I may start looking at creating a multiple car team for the future.

These are custom forged rims that were made for the car. I now use Kansei, which are flow formed and look very similar.
