As far as Moore not recruiting...it's technically correct this happened because of the bag of money. BUT...Valenti has to give Sherrone credit for being the one continuing to push/beg/plead/grovel for donor support. They were not getting donor support until this year. Michigan sucked and UofM is finally getting their head out of their asses with NIL (basketball too). Moore deserves some credit for that. Not as much as the bag of cash...but some.

I'm a Michigan fan and alum and appreciate this take overall. I'll push back on one point though. This wasn't just about the bag for Bryce. He has a potential earning power of well over $200 million in the NFL. An extra $6 million now wouldn't be enough to put that at risk. He wouldn't come to Michigan, unless he thought they could develop him. I think we're going to see some big moves in the off season with respect to coaching. I think some of it may already be agreed upon in principle.
