That moment when you're listening to a newly made Fire Emblem documentary while you work on other stuff and you suddenly realize that your old re-orchestration of "An Unexpected Caller" that you did 7 years ago is being used as the background music. I feel like I've finally contributed something meaningful to the fandom. Excellent documentary by the way. I very much enjoyed it, particularly the section covering the GBA era. ;)

This video was breath taking and I could feel all heart tears and sweat in it. I have been I fan of FE since I was 12 and got my first ever teen game Fire Emblem Awakening. It was a complete mistake from my aunt and uncle in getting me that game. Without that mistake, I probably would of never gotten into this amazing series, hell maybe even the rpg (besides Pokémon) games of the world! This long documentary was definitely very informative and well scripted. I almost cried at the part about awakening. Well done locksteen and keep up the excellent content. Stay awesome

1:00:00 this "issue" of a COMPLETELY OPTIONAL casual mode has to be one of the dumbest things for a community to be tore up about. As someone who has played fire emblem starting with 7, I find the perma-death aspect of it appealing and it makes the decisions I make for each character very crucial. However, I can understand why someone wouldn't enjoy this aspect of the games. People gotta deal with the fact that video games are different things to different people. Let them play how they want to play.

It's been over a year since this was released, and all of this info is still accurate, except for some of the stuff about Fire Emblem Heroes. FEH is literally the only mobile game I've ever seen listen to player feedback and make major changes to fix their game. Here's some of the changes they've made: - Stamina is no longer an issue (the max is higher and you get a ton of potions to replenish it) - They incorporated skill inheritance systems to make virtually any unit decent, no matter how "bad" they are deemed to be - They added units based on player demand, and even decided to make units unique to the FEH story playable - The tweaked the gatcha algorithm so the rate at which you get 5 star heroes seems fair - They made it easier to get orbs for summoning as well as the feathers needed to increase unit star level - They added multiple new gameplay types (some permanent, some temporary but reoccurring) to change up the monotony of the game, and some of these game modes are direct call backs to more core FE gameplay. Updates are frequent, and when the players ask for something, we know they're working on it, even if it takes a while to figure out how to implement it. They just announced that beast units are being added to the game in a few days. They've struggled to figure out how to make them fit into FEH for the past year, but they made it happen because the players kept asking. I have tremendous respect for the dev team.

i've occasionally heard some people make the misconception that the weapon triangle is what Fire Emblem strategic gameplay is all about. this is of course not the case. the weapon triangle merely confers minor bonuses, mainly to accuracy and evasion. while this is a nice bonus to have it often isn't game changing. Fire Emblem strategic gameplay is more about how you position your characters as you move them around the map. if your strategy is good then most of the time it won't really matter if you have this bonus.

The internal struggles surrounding Intelligence System during the Ike games is unfortunate, because Path of Radiance was a masterpiece. Radiant Dawn was also an ambitous but flawed endever and switching consoles probably played a role in its many problems. I am happy to see that Three Houses will have a nod to Path of Radiance by making the main character the son of a mercenary. Fingers crossed there aren't any mischievous black clad knights lurking around in the woods... or a house.

I feel so terrible for missing out on such a magnificent series that my older brother tried to get me into when I was younger, with the gb advanced game, but now I want to immerse myself even deeper thanks to Echoes! This is extremely helpful to a newcomer like I. I’ve played Awakening, half of Blazing Sword, and a little bit of Heroes, but I really wanted to understand the history of the series before getting into Three Houses. What I didn’t expect was to learn how most of the series is available to the West thanks to remakes. I had no clue Echoes is a remake of Gaiden, and the whole Shadow Dragon+Emblem/New Emblem was as confusing as it gets. The games seem much more accessible now, and I can now decide how I want to experience each story.

I've been a fan since path of Radiance on the GC and knew of the history of Japan only titles, but to see it all come together in this excellent film was wonderful. Once again a huge thank you and congratulations for the sheer scope of the project. Considering half its lifespan was never even released in the West it makes the levels of research you guys do all the more impressive. Bravo!!
