Another detail supporting the "Snake with prosthetics" theory for Miraidon is the colors of its Future Paradox Energy: the one running in the metal parts of its body (limbs, back, handles) is entirely violet, while the one in its exposed parts (throat, tail, eyebrows) adds yellow and some white. It almost feels like the tri-colored energy is the real body of this Pokemon and the violet is only the external layer, seeping into the metallic attachments just enough to be able to control them.
@RicochetForceАй бұрын
Yeah, when he was explaining that part I took a close look at Miraidon and noticed that all the energy bits form a long, serpentine "body" which is flowing through some sort of machine chassis. Which would make sense since it's en electric dragon that is powering the robotic body its in.

the thing I love about the polteageist and sinischa lines are that they're both the same concept, but through their country's culture. sinistea and polteageist are objects possessed by a ghost that already existed, but sinischa and polchageist are objects who came to life on their own after existing for such a long time and, at least for the one from the fairy tale, absorbing the personality of their owner. it really embodies "convergent evolution" while also highlighting the similarity and difference between both myths.

Evolutionary biologist/paleontologist here, I think the main connection between Lemurs and Shrews is that treeshrews are more closely related to primates than they are to other shrews and both belong to the group called Euarchonta (the shrew-form has evolved like 10 times in mammals). But treeshrews belong to the group Scandentia, which along with the Dermoptera (Colugo), are closely related to primates. Additionally, alongside the lab rat stuff, the closet related group to Euarchonta are the Glires (Rodentia+Lagomorpha[wabbits]), together they form the mammalian superorder, Euarchontaglires. That is why working on rodents in the lab has benefits that extend to humans, we are more closely related to little rats than we are pigs or other mid-size livestock. Great video!

Worth mentioninin Fuecoco's line might have another inspiration: Correfocs. Correfocs are a catalan and valencian tradition (east of Spain) where people celebrate playing with fire and lighting things up, sometimes people participating wear big costumes on top of them that look like dragons or reptiles to mimic a dragon's fire... that square in Fuecoco's belly? it's supposed to mimic the hole the people inside the structure use to be able to see while wearing them. also the reason why Skeledirge looks so 'unnatural', with straight lines is because he is made to look like he was handmade from plaster to resemble a figure molded into that shape... like the dragons from correfocs are.

The fact that Iron Valiant lost its psychic typing when fusing Gallade and Gardevoir together inspired me to give it back as it's Terra type. It just feels complete that way.

Personally, I think Lickitung & Lickilicky should be part Poison-Type. Lickitung - Poison/Normal Lickilicky - Poison/Normal Shroodle - Normal/- (or Normal/Poison) Grafaiai - Normal/Poison

To renforce the mongol warrior motif on okidogi, I see it’s fur as having a storm cloud design especially with the bottom two tufts. Which might represent how two mongol invasion attempts were halted by a typhoon.

I took Pecharunt's Story a different way, the story and the way they worded particular parts suggest that Pecharunt didn't forcible "Controlled" the Loyal 3. In the games they clearly show free will and their Pokedex entries and Pecharunt's story imply that Pecharunt wanted to fulfill each of their greatest desires. Its further evident when you take into account that the only reason Pecharunt left to go to Kitakami was because its caretakers desired the masks. Pecharunt isn't inherently mean but rather shows it's want to please everyone it meets. Nemona wanted to battle and Pecharunt granted in a way by forcing us to fight her. Pecharunt's story is really sad if you look at it this way, and shows that it was blinded to how it hurts others un-initially and that ultimately harmed it. Ogerpon and Pecharunt both wanted to live happy lives and they both inadvertently destroyed each other's in a single night...

1:00:45 so what your saying is... they're ultra beasts?
@SeantheSharkGuyАй бұрын
Yep, pretty much! Just Ultra Beasts that showed up via Terapagos and Tera crystal powers instead of via Nebby and Ultra Wormholes

@@SeantheSharkGuy Though Ultra beasts are more like aliens while the paradox pokemon are basically anomalies.
@SeantheSharkGuy25 күн бұрын
@@truegamer7760 by design and intention by the devs, yep! They definitely are. But I find it interesting that lore wise, they technically they do fall under the literal definition we were given for Ultra Beasts, that being Pokémon or Pokémon-like creatures from other dimensions.

@@SeantheSharkGuy I honestly wonder what else they could do with these kinds of pokemon.

So, fun thing, gorebyss probably is more related to the boto from Brazilian myths, as it's called "Boto Cor-de-rosa" or "pink boto".

The fudge!?!? A new video more than and hour long talking on my personal favorite generation after the first two, Gen 9!?!? This one is going to really flesh out Paldea Pokemon, and it is sorely needed for the haters! Thank you so very much, Lockstin, for the best Christmas present a Poke-Tuber could give! You're undoubtedly the best one ever for all this information!

13:16 says larger locust, shows a weta (cricket relative). Also locust is like a vague group within grasshoppers just being the ones that swarm. Nothing particularly with size just like one of the largest European grasshoppers is the migratory locust
