Both the Color Management and the HDR are very welcome. The first one is even required for Linux to be used for media work. Global Shortcuts are an absolute must have as well. Maybe one more year and Wayland would be actually usable.

I want to dig a bit on that, for example, would you be able to get apps from play store, will apps have access to Android apis, etc

@mii_beta Oh right, no APIs i guess. If it works the same as Chrome OS, nope, there won't be apps in Play Store, you'll have to install them manually (maybe as flatpaks)

there is a Gtk backed for Android, and there is also a Android-Builder script to cross compile Gnome apps on aarch64 (or x86_64) and generate APKs; i have several videos on that, thats why i didnt explain it

@@gronki1Welcome to FOSS! Are you new here? Most FOSS (free and open source software) is done by volunteers, i.e. people do what they want. Besides, there's ton of stuff that's happening in GNOME ecosystem. Mii said that there's not much going on, but I disagree. Tons of stuff happened, it's just that GNOME isn't that kind of project that receives 18000 new features every month
@MrAlanCristhianКүн бұрын
Gamma just makes the screen lighter or darker. The problem is, ALL monitors already do that. So, is not only a pointless feature, I could put you in a situation where your monitor applies the gamma correction, and on top of that, mutter also apply it. So it could mess your colors. I can't wait for global shortcuts.
@night_h4nterКүн бұрын
it's not a pointless feature, because it lets you control brightness in software where it would otherwise be impossible (at least as far as i know)
