The Trigger and Bolt disassembly are separated from the Full Monty Disassembly and was done at a later date, see end of screen.
The Mk22 and the GSG-15 are the same, except for the stock.
Note: the bolt and FCG in GSG-16, GSG-15 and ISSC mk22 are interchangeable.
Correction: I inadvertently said the back screw, screws to the bolt when it actually screws to the charging handle spring guide rod.

Please do not attempt to do my disassembly because it's not made for novices who can't figure out what I'm doing on or off camera also quite often due to the length I don't reassemble or include the FCG which is done separately.

@13:30 This stupid pin removal hole is a huge flaw in the design of the rifle. If you are too rough with your drills and cock the action too aggressively, it is possible to kick this little pin into this hole and either cause it to slip behind the bolt carrier - which it alone actuates - or even bind up the entire action until you wiggle everything just right to get it to drop back down (assuming it hasn't slipped all the way out under the rail and become hooked on the side of the hole). A little solid spacer to fill this hole while the gun is fully assembled would solve this problem, but apparently the Germans designed this thing to be handled with kid gloves at all times. Do yourself a huge favour and go to a hardware store, find a 6mmx3m screw nut (or a 7mmx3mm and do a little filing) and plug this damn hole on reassembly before you have a hard stoppage in the middle of a competition as I did before I figured this out.

yes, the pin could possible move up and jam the action but its prevented from moving any further by the rail above it.

@@gnutzguy All I know is I had to buy a large set screw to just leave sitting in the hole to prevent it from jamming if I'm too wough wid it's poow widdwe chawging handwe. My point being, as much fun as I have with this gun, whoever let it go to market with such a critical flaw needs a smack upside the head. Good video because it's the only full monty disassembly I've found, but anyone interested in this gun needs to know its flaws.
@gnutzguy
@gnutzguy 4 жыл бұрын
@@JohnSmith-ir6bc absolutely, that's why you and I are here to inform the gun community of its flaws but I find gsg usual dont do anything about it, leaving us to rectify the problems.

@@gnutzguy I'm not sure what the pin would catch on. Maybe the thread inserts for the sight rails? They do protrude maybe a 1/64th of an inch, but you would think that if the pin had become that loose, gravity would do it,s thing and the pin would drop down until the head prevented it from going further. I had to tap mine out, so I doubt it will be a problem, but I am sure that a drop of thread-lock on the pin before inserting it would eliminate the possibility of it moving.

yes, but you need an adapter from the skin barrel to 1/2x28.

before you change the firing pin, flip the brass retainer at the bottom of the hammer spring and see if the number soft strike lessen.

I am also getting a lot of soft strikes on my gsg-15. This past weekend it was every second round. I cleaned it very well before using it. It seems like these gsg-15’s are known for it. My gsg-16 has been a much better gun

@@gnutzguy it's going to happen. The first step was learning this was a issc mk22. Step two is curse the portals the springs use when they fly to another dimension. Step 3 is to blame them for not giving the springs with the rest of the parts. 4, bring it to the local gunshops and get a $50 per hour quote and the recommendation of just working off youtube videos to try to see all the tiny parts only a fool would take out and aren't mentioned. 5, get distracted with comments. 6, buy a Type 14 Nambu. 7, forget about the issc and sell it to Gnutzguy and just use the Sig 522 for plinking. Wait a minute... that doesn't look like I complete it even if I follow the plan. Cross your fingers for the Nambu on Monday though.

I did it. I have 6 springs, 2 screws, 4 pins, 2 lever arms, 3 washers, and one _D_ shaped ring left over and those were obviously extra, but the darn thing is cycling and the action works, so I'm calling it a victory. Seeing it and holding it as is, it's ugly and bulky. I bet if it were in good order, it would be a lot of fun, especially with a bipod. But I'm spoiled with the 522, it's not easy to beat.
