I just shot around 500 rounds through my gsg16 today and decided to check your video to give it a good cleaning. Straight to the point and good advice about getting take down pins. One thing I noticed is that there wasn’t a lot of carbon, far less than my AR’s put out. I strictly use cci mini mags so that might be why and I also Never had a feeding problem but one thing I did notice is there was a ton of sandy materiel. Is that what’s meant by when they say 22’s run dirty? Like literal sand. Anyway I cleaned and lubed the heck out of it. I like my guns to run very wet. Thanks again and subscribed.
@TaeussKramme4 ай бұрын
No, sand is not what they mean by .22s running dirty. That one is on wherever it was that you went shooting. I'd watch that one as it'll promote accelerated wear on the internals.

Saw one of these in use at my Range. Spoke to the owner, he expressed frustration over the amount of times it failed to feed. As I watched, it appeared numerous. He liked the gun in every other respect and was in the process of experimenting with different ammo to improve the situation. Even sent the gun to an armorer without improvement. I can understand his frustration. Have had mine for roughly a year. Have 3 stick mags that feed perfectly regardless of HV or standard ammo. Went out to play with my drum the other day loaded with Aguila Super Extra rounds and had failure one after another. Unloaded 40 of 50 rounds by hand after giving up.... at least I didn't load the full 100+ like I was planning. Absolutely love and enjoy this little rifle. Works like a dream for me.... maybe stay away from the drum mag. If the fella your talking about was using regular 22rd. stick mags and still having problems i would say somethings up with his rifle. Mine has only let me down when using the drum that one particular day. And that could be ammo related, maybe even my own damn fault somehow. Other than that no issues, and tons of fun! For the Price. Are they the hk g3 pins?
@michaeldamskey10253 жыл бұрын
I found thesd but it says i need to modify my rifle to make them fit: The standard kit includes 3 small pins & 1 large pin. You can secure your forearm and trigger group with the small pins without modification. You must alter the opening through the buttstock and trigger group housing tailpiece to use either the 3rd small pin or the large pin (9/32 or metric equivalent).

I have a tiny spring that was left over after taking it down 😭 help please
@BlackBearOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
That is a tough question to advise you on. I can only suggest that you look at the manual for the "exploded parts" image. That may tell you where it goes. Alternatively drop GSG an email. They may be able to answer this one for you. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hey man great vid! Take down doesn't seem too bad, but I remember from my MK22 (Scar clone) that it was a real bitch when you had to eventually do a detail strip of the bolt sleeve/carrier. Do you clean after every range trip? I'm curious how many rounds it takes (without cleaning) before you begin getting malfunctions?
@BlackBearOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Nick St-Jean I have never had malfunctions due to not cleaning this rifle. I cleaned it after maybe 300 rounds. So not sure how much you would have to fire it before you see carbon related issues. Thanks for supporting our channel!
