Type 97’s bolt is originated from FNC's 3 locking lugs bolt. The bolt carrier cam and curve guide are very interesting,since there is no rotation movement for the bolt during the charging procedure unlike the AR/G36. It is called anti pre engagement which is very helpful for reliability.
@gnutzguy3 жыл бұрын
yup, more like FNC but with striker system.
@blackcatpack3 жыл бұрын
Both FNC and QBZ95’s bolt carrier are come from Kalashnikov’s “flat surface rotation guide”(anyway this is what Chinese textbook calls it and my automatic weapon knowledge are learned in Chinese language so you guys might have different noun for it) The mainly changes that FN did to original AK was adding one extra locking lug, and moved rotation guide lug behind the locking lug. (AK’s is monolith with main locking lug) which made barrel trunnion’s size slightly reduced. And FNC centered the point where bolt carrier and trunnion engage. So it was like AUG gives Engineers confidence on Bullpup rifle (AUG gets highest score overall in the experiment test than all other rifle’s like FAMAS, SA80, FNC, M16 etc.) but FNC is the best choice for economic reason and factory workers are easier to get used to produce this new rifle based on their experience with AK)

@@blackcatpack Lateral/Plane guide drive might be more accurate. It is a little change for type 95 change FNC's long stoke driven piston. After finding Robinson XCR's bolt & bolt carrier design, I think it better than Type 95 and FNC.

@@gnutzguy It is not a good striker design, makes trigger pulling worse, also the structure design is not solid.

That's what she said.... Humor aside, you won't be able to find spare parts for this rifle anywhere in Canada. Do what most people do (since they're so cheap). Buy one to use, and one for spare parts. That's the closest you're going to get unfortunately..

American here, I really want a first gen Type 97. A really shame we can't get these. We got a 12 versionish imported somehow. I collect a lot of military stuff abd have a decent amount of modern PLA gear. A 97 would complete that.
